my thoughts... well, its an evil disease, and possibly the worst thing to happen to a person. it took a friend from me (lead to him killing himself, though I cant honestly say I blame him), and ofr that, well Id ont know. I hope it goes away forever.

That is a huge victory, I sincerely hope you remain healthy and cancer-free.
My personal experience with cancer occurred roughly three years ago. Two good friends were diagnosed about 6 months apart. Both were killed.
Watching them wither away was one of the most horrifying experiences I've had, and I hope to never see anything like it again.

I had thyroid cancer from my military days of working near nuke reactors, sleeping next to ICBMS and standing watch under a active radar for 6 hours at a time.

If anything it's your will to win that gets ya, I heard silly crap like brocilli has chems that fight cancer...
But really, cut down on the chemical filled foods, eat fresher, keep MOVING and know it's not gonna beat ya.
It's all about your mental will to beat it my friend...
My mom had breast cancer and was told she had 6 months to live...
She died 14 years later.
All in the mind.
My big kick in the nuts? I was told on July 14th, 15 years to the day she died...I had cancer. And I'll be damned if it beats me.

Both my grandfathers and my step-grandfather died of cancer, but my real grandfathers died awhile before I was born. Other than that I've had pretty much no contact with the stuff.
i have had three experiences with cancer. i lost my uncle to lung cancer when i was fifteen, my grandmother to lung cancer when i was eighteen, and my mother has been pretending to have various forms of cancer for a year and a half. i wish there was a reasonable way to find a cure, but it's not going to be economically viable for the pharmaceutical companies.

My experiences, though... my father has had four tumors removed in his life, and none of them spread. His secret: refuse the biopsy, and just have 'em cut the damn thing out with a little extra flesh for good measure. Not possible with bone or brain cancer, of course... but it's food for thought.

My mom died of cancer about a year ago.

Congratulations to you! It's a happy day indeed when someone beats this insidious disease. 
Looking back at my genealogy, I suppose my family's burdened with cancer on either side. From what I can tell, my grandpa had it twice, but luckily he survived both occurrences (though not without some organ loss) and is still with us.

Wonderful to see that a human can defeat cancer. I don't know anyone close to me who's suffered from cancer asides from my teacher from last year, who is an overall great person.
This makes me wonder if those who use the internet are in fact, not humans at all. This is because there's a lot of cancer which needs battling, and it doesn't seem to be winning or losing. Terrible state of miserable limbo.

I had a bit in my danglin bits. Two trips under the knife, a little bit lighter, and i'm all good to go.

I had bowel cancer from ages 2 to 10. Nasty stuff, but instead of going for a colonoscopy and removing 3/4's of my bowel, my mum and dad went into hardcore holistic and natural medicine. The stuff I drank while finding a cure was insane - Cicada shells, snakeskin, honey, ground bark, all that kind.
Eventually we found something that genuinely worked. No cancer, been free for a decade and will be going strong - take that, both sides of my family! (All who have large histories of rampant cancer.)

alas i guess im not as lucky as you last wednesday i went to see my doctor he said that i have one last type of chemo to try and if that does not keep my aggressive cancer at bay then all i can do is supress it before it kills, it really sucks being told you might not reach the age of twenty, but ive not lost hope yet, im just hoping this chemo does the job, congratulations btw i never gratz'd you in my previous commentMisterGobbles said:
