replace my left hand with a robotic hand that has 6 digits
that already been developed, its not a cyborg but a form of human called a hillbilly
yea but it would be easier to replace my existing hand with a robotic one than to somehow go back in time and make sure my parents were brother and sister

If I could, I would go totally cyborg.. i'm talking a 25 foot tall robot with my brain safely contained within it. even it it only doubled my brains lifespan I think it would be worth it, 160 years alive is better than 80 plus i'd be a giant robot!!

Cybernetic technology has come further than you might think, I've seen articles on brain operated computers and people with prosthetic limbs that can actually feel with them!!
One of the lecturers at my university had chips put into his arms and stuff and he could control a robot arm over the internet!!

this is a long way off the kind of robotic alteration i'm thinking of, but give it 50 years and I reckon people will be replacing body parts for machines by choice, not neccesity

I doubt we can get to that point in technology in our lifetimes, but give it a few generations and youll have cybernetic implants and prosthetic cyborg limbs be the norm.
we are experimenting with cyber implants now, we have made a hand that replaces the human one, be good if we could replace a entire arm like will smith has in I robot it wont be longer b4 we can master cybernetic implants, I see it happening in at least 2 generations at most 4.

truth be told if we didn't have religion and war to hold us back it would have happened centuries ago, well war would help with guinea pigs.

Personally i would i let myself be upgraded, id love cybernetic arm and eye plus a few internal organs would be good

Funnily enough, they started developing the aforementioned arm because of war veterans with missing limbs. The project was commissioned by the DoD.

In fact, war has a tendency to accelerate technology.
true specially in the case of pare without war he would have never ran ou t of oil and thus we have modern painkillers, but when the war is big we concentrate more on large scale weapons not cyber upgrades

Being a cyborg would be amazing, I would certainly replace my entire left arm and maybe a leg.
Not so sure about the leg though, My human leg would have trouble keeping up if they are truly that fast

Being a cyborg would be pretty sweet. The only robotic implants I would want would be robotic eyes, because it would be awesome to be able to have night vision, thermal vision, the ability to magnify your sight, and the ability to record videos and images at will.

I would also take robotic limbs, but only if my body parts became damaged in some sort of accident and had to be amputated.
