There is a large, rambling post that was once here. It was basically me yelling for a few dozen lines about how stupid the Halo games are since the bulk of the universe's cannon lies in the books; how "jetpacks makes everything better" is a horrible tagline that could only convince a twelve year old to buy the game; and raging about the logical fallacy behind claiming Reach's health packs are Bungie trying to maintain the game mechanic canon (so to speak) of their games.

This has instead replaced by me writing this post, explaining that I hate Halo and will no longer rage about it to you lot since no one but fanboys care anymore anyways. And no one is able to convince a fanboy they're wrong. That's just science.

Personally i don't play Halo or will ever because i don't intend to get a 360, but damn did this trailer make me itch to get one!

How psyched am I? Psyched enough to consider picking up ODST just to get into this beta - that's how psyched I am.

I only watched three minutes, but I'm already getting the same feeling. I don't like Halo, but this looks fucking great. The pace looks much improved, a nice balance between classic Halo and classic UT/Q3 deathmatch style maneuvering.

EDIT: Since there is evidently confusion about this, I'm not being sarcastic. I just give up trying to argue with Halo fans because its not worth it, and I actually do hope you have fun.

If you don't want to argue with people then you don't start the argument. Those lines that you 'replaced' ARE STILL FUCKING THERE. Thanks for toning it down, assuming you actually did and aren't just putting us on for the sake of cynicism, but what you posted still equates to latent raging. Just do what I do: stick with TF2 and for fuck's sake KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT ABOUT IT. Different games for different gamers.

I have to admit, even though ODST was a decent game, I was just expecting more of the same with Reach, and was not planning on getting it on release. After seeing this footage, I am a little excited to see the full game.

I'm disappointed by the fact that they obviously have paid no attention to the game at all before this. They have not done their homework. If they had watched the 2 or 3 vidocs that have been released by Bungie, I would've been a happy camper, but for now I'm just going to more or less ignore the commentary and enjoy the gameplay.

I know! The interview was killing me. I wish some people who really knew the game did the interview instead of wasting our time covering extremely basic and irrelevant material.

Them not having a clue about the sentinel beam annoyed me. The weird thing was I couldn't help but think I knew more about the game than they did despite never having played it!
However I do wonder if bungie intentionally chose people they didn't think would pay that much attention so fans would still be surprised on Beta release day.
