Im asking the question, are being a n00b for using something that makes you stronger in a game?
I thought this while at my friends house, we were playing Gears 1 and my friend was commenting on how people were being noobs cus they double tapped, or if they used active reloads, and I thought how are you being a noob for using active reloads? Isn't active reloading a way to reward your timing? He also says you can spot out noobs because they all play as marcus, whats wrong with using marcus? I mean sure new players will probably use him because hes recognisable and sure maybe marcus is a boring character, but name one gears character who isn't
Marcus - Stereotypical Macho hero
Dominic - Spanish Stereotypical Macho Hero
Cole - Stereotypical Black Macho Hero
Carmine - Stereotypical Newfag
Baird - Asshole

DOnt get me wrong my friend is a great gears player i just dont get why he hates these things.
So i just wanna ask, are you being a noob if you do something that makes it a bit easier to kill or are you using you're Head?

If you're using a game mechanic that you're meant to use, that's being intelligent.

You're only a noob if the method allows really cheap and easy kills, like the grenade launchers in MW 1 and 2. That's why I hate anything that instantly kills without requiring much skill.

unless it completely breaks the game to use a weapon or osmething, using something to make you better isn't something that's noob-like at all.

Nope, if its put in the game for a player to use to their advantage then its using your head.

Now your being a n00b if you, for Example, in a Fighting game use the SAME ATTACK OVER AND OVER AND OVER IN THE SAME MATCH.
Not even trying to put a decent combo or special attack together.

Baird is not an asshole. He's just not a macho man. He's the most realistic personality in the game!

OT: If its in the game, and its not a glitch, its perfectly fair. Even if it is an over-powered weapon.

If you are meant to be able to do it then it's called using your brain. If you are not meant to (using a glitch/bug) then you are a "cheating noob".

... What the fuck???

The game tells you to do it in the bloody tutorial, it's a basic game mechanic, anyone who doesn't use it is a "noob".

Why do you flame MW2 so much? Sure, it's a shit game, but I don't see you making any games, now do I?

He's the one buying the game, is he not? As such, since he payed money for it, should he not have the right to ***** about his purchase for as long has he wants?

I do find it a little cheap when an advanced player destroys newer players with skills they don't know/ are barely able to use.
I mean, I understand if an advanced player was winning all the time, but being a jerk about it just kills the fun, and they should really be playing agianst gamers of their level if they aren't willing to be a good sport with a newb.

In MW2 no one calls you noob for using akimbo shotties, no one. When you get a certain achievement with the grenade launcher u get the Title noob tuber though lol.

Even Akimbo 1887s?
Those were just completely overpowered weapons which if you were spotted first, you'd be dead.
How the fuck should I know? I didn't get MW2.

Apparently they were patched, and you now have to use perks and attachments to achieve the same effect, giving up other bonuses.

If you are using something that was put in the game that isn't a glitch, then you are sensible, and the person calling you a noob is a noob them self, the people who are winning are the better players.

People won't care if they loose a blue perk, if they have 1887s with FMJ they do the exact same thing.
They need to fucking remove the whole dual wielding aspect.
one thing- Can you dual wield any type of SMGs?
