Being Dumped

Girlfriend cheated on me, several times. I was oblivious to all, except that she once tried it on with a close friend of mine who, thoughtfully, rejected her with such malice her sly smile ate itself. Anyway, I went to go have a chat about the 'rumours' I'd been hearing, then she told me that I was dumped. Apparently trying to, and failing, to cheat on me was enough reason to leave me. It wasn't at all a big deal since I was going to drop her like a rock after that anyway...

...Then she started following me around, badgering me for sex, trying to emotionally blackmail me, once got me drunk at a party and slipped lingerie one to try and tempt me, tried several times to accuse me of things I hadn't done and start rumours, got several Scottish thugs to threaten me because I had 'sexually assaulted' her, and then tried to say that I beat her while in the relationship. Thankfully, the people who actually knew me just smiled at the notion of me beating her, and the ones who knew her basically laughed at the thought of any sexual act she was involved in being unwilling, so she came out worse off in the end. Whew, memories.

Analysis; My old relationship with women is most adequately described as 'WHA-PISH'

(EDIT- Funny thing is, things like that made me a better person, lead to me meeting someone who I really wouldn't have deserved before and has basically reverted me back to the old 'lovestruck puppy' state everyone at some point gets into in their first relationships. I agree with random person who's name I was too lazy to scroll up and find again; go out and get some experience - even the bad works out well in the end.)

also, on topic 'sorry for double posting' i never was badly dumped, but ive dumped someone badly before.
my girlfriend was messing around with my best freind 'we're cool bout that now' so i wanted to get the best possible revenge.
i thrw an anniversary part, and invitd a few of her friends. then when i brought out the cake, iwrote the words 'happy anniversary you lieing cheating *****. we're through.' she became the laughing stock of the college, and i became 'that guy' you know, 'that guy' the one that makes little girls cry for enjoyment?

That is the best way to get back at a cheating gf/bf I have ever heard. Wish I had thought of that.

Indeed, that I cannot dispute. Currently I base my reaction off of how I am in general; I do not build strong attachments towards people whatsoever and am quite apathetic in regards to relationships and dating; not be confused with opposing either, I just prefer to "play my hand" so to speak and wait for a woman that impresses me then to venture in at random like many of my peers. At Twenty I have plenty of time to wait.

Of course as you stated, things may change although this is an aspect I intend to maintain as best I can. It simply makes difficult situations like a break up that much easier to deal with when you tackle the world with a nonchalant attitude.
It also makes you sound like a soulless zombie.
I can relate to what you say, but DAMN!!!
Go out and have some experiences. Get your heart broken! Find that song that makes it all worth while. Seriously, carrying on like that is only going to make it harder to relate when you do meet that someone.
Ironically my social skills are top notch, given I can form a friendship with practically anyone in minutes. I always did love that irony; nevertheless why would I want to "go and get my heart broken"? Mate, just because I hold an apathetic viewpoint on dating does not mean I am against the idea of it. I know of those moments and intend to experience them, enjoy them and embrace them.

The only difference is I do not jump in heart first. I know what I want in a relationship and am more then willing to wait for it. At this time I have more important things to concern myself with then dating; building a career and my success is top priority, if I meet a girl that peeks my interest? Well then why not take a chance, I am not however pining for a girlfriend.

If that makes me soulless, I'll chalk it up with heartless and call myself a demon. :p

An ex finishing with me because she suffered from depression, and couldn't bare to hurt me.
Ok, that's a little extreme but I guess quite sweet deep down. Then I found out she was cheating on me, and it was an excuse to be alone with her new partner. A heavy portion of bullshit and chips.

The most devestating brake-up ever for the wrong reasons.

I had a phone call saying that I was dumped which was bad enough, looked out the window and saw my cat get hit by a truck a second later.

Funny shit that.

Sorry. I just re-read my post and does come across as quite rude. I didn't mean any offence by it. The picture you painted was more Ed Gein than Gordon Gecko, if that's any excuse.

Well, at the risk of walking into a trap, I have been biting my cheek trying not to laugh.
It sounds like comedy gold. Are you familiar with Unlucky Alf from the Fast Show?

Buddy of mine actually told me that he was having sex with my girlfriend. She had apparently told him that we broke up a few weeks before, but never mentioned anything to me. So, I kissed my girlfriend before class, then got asked by my friend why I was kissing her.
I saw nothing wrong with kissing my girlfriend, and told him so. He then informed me about her being his fuckbuddy, I punched him in the face, called her a whore, and never spoke to her again.

I can't really blame my buddy for wanting to have sex with her. And she admitted to telling him that we weren't together anymore, so I feel that a punch to his face settled the matter.

well most of them for me have been kinda unavoidable
- agreed on ones (those are easy)
- one's where i'm like "bah fuck you i'm bailing" (those are fun)
- the persons family has moved

my current relationship is reaching 2 years
I'm going to see Lamb Of God on Valentines in 2008 and she's mad as hell. at least if she dumps me i'll be having the time of my fucking life.

Honestly?

I find out my girl is a drug addict so I say I won't date her until she cleans herself up. So in return she disappears for 6 months, then reappears only to tell me shes dumped me to go out with the local dealer, just after I had gotten over her.

Only my good sense of humour and timing kept me together after that.
I found it kind of funny anyway. In a rather tragic and heartbreaking sense.

Never had a relationship, thus have not experienced being dumped. My general attitude towards it however is, "eh whatever" due to my rather apathetic opinion of dating as a while. I have this lingering thought I could be one of the worst exes because it would take me less then a few minutes to move on.
i never envy someone for what i will at some point get myself, but this is what i strive for. i am extremely apathetic towards people in that i never show what i feel. to me, people have to prove themselves; whether for a romantic relationship or just friendship. if they have the mind, that's enough for me to keep acquainted with them. if they don't, i don't bother with them whatsoever.

i've been over this already on these forums, but basically i'll go in, be the star of the night that everyone wants to talk to or get to know. usually i talk to everyone to figure out if there's anything at all besides the worthless chit chat, and only very rarely there is. i do tend to sleep with whomever, but i'm not pursuing anything else if they don't have the right mindset. and usually girls who do one night stands don't.

WWIAIIITTT got a good one
was with a girl, she was fucking awesome.
4th day -we do a lot of fooling around (first time for both of us BIG DEAL cos of our age)
5th day -she leaves me saying "i'm not frigid or anything, i just want to be single"
6th day -she tries it on with my best friend, who agrees to date her, wates 30 minutes then rejects the shit out of her.

They are now ACTUALLY A COUPLE, and have been breaking up getting back tgether in an annoying matter, to make it worse, she joined our college, sits next to me in art, and looks at me like she is still X years old and wants me to do her

When I told my GF what we did way back when she FLIPPED and reeeeaaallly hates her.

I find it all funny because me and my best friend are still fucking tight as hell so we lol at all of it.

Wow, that must've sucked.
probably ruined your evening completely.

I've never been in a relationship, so I can't really answer the question.
I'd probably be devastated though... I guess
yeah well it blew ass. but i don't care that much because she ended up being a ***** anyway
