I'm hungover.
Very hungover.

I'm not allowed to sleep because the dog won't shut up and earlier was apparently a good time to hoover.

Apart from killing the dog and everyone who does the housework I can't see a way to get back to sleep. So I'm bitching to you about it and hoping you can tell me this isn't the worst morning ever and you have had or there are worse mornings to be woken up on.

I'm not hungover, and yet I wake up at 8am. On my one day off this week. WHY.

Worst morning ever? Having to be in work for 6AM to spend 3 HOURS doing the store marketing.

Waking up at 3 in the morning, not being able to go back to sleep and playing the 360 for 4 hours, it gets suicideily boring

I think that mornings should be banned. Nothing ought start before midday, as being woken up is one of the great traumas of my life, especially when it's before lunch. There's always that horrible second when my brain goes "It's not a day you need to move! Return to slumber!" and then I remember that I have classes or stuff to do and so am evicted from the warm comfort of blankets and a mattress. Woe! Alas! That I would one day come across a time when I need not rise with that horror.

Oh my friend, it is not the worst. Try going to a party, getting drunk, stumbling in at 6 am, going to bed, only to have to get up for school an hour later! The horror...

Hangovers are self inflicted, so pity is thin to start with. I can name worse mornings. The day my parents went on holiday was the same day the (then) puppy's smeared rather loose stool all over the kitchen...with only me home to clear it up.

I used to hate people being in my house I didn't know, mostly because I like to walk around naked.

People didn't tend to make noise, but my room was the room for smoking in, so I've woken up with a room full of people I can't remember meeting smoking around me when I feel like death.

Random people suck.

I never had a hangover in my life, simply because I've never been drunk, even barely tipsy. The max I got was "lagged vision" after chucking down 2 glasses of wine rather quickly on a pretty empty stomach. I wasn't dizzy, nor was I doing odd things. I was just feeling slightly light in the head and when I turned my head quickly, my vision would lag behind a split second. That only made me sleep better and more sound, resulting in a very refreshing morning.

I've got plenty of painful mornings though, almost every early morning (not matter how early I got so sleep) is a painful. I just can't deal with them, and an early morning usually means that I'm very grumpy until about noon. I'm also very accident prone and sloppy when I get up early for the majority of the day.

I prefer getting up between 9:00 and 10:00. Next week I have to get up at 6:15...it's going to be a trainwreck.

I absolutely hate waking up before lunch and yet I love the early morning weather. It's beautiful at my house, fog covering everything except the distant mountains. But since I'm always up until at least 1 in the morning, I'm too tired to get up early enough. Meh! I say! At least I don't have to deal with my family's bullshit when they're all asleep and I don't have to put up with it until noon.

I know exactly how you feel. Being woken up sucks, especially when hungover. But I can tell you what is worse. Going through a carton of beam with my mate, getting 2 hours sleep from 5-7 and waking up still drunk, because sleeping upright on a couch isn't the most comfortable way to sleep, sitting around for a couple hours, before having to go out and play football, as a starting ROVER (midfielder) before pulling my drive muscle about 5 minutes into the second quarter.

Waiting for GCSE results on Monday night. I watched the entirety of Gossip Girl Season 2 and then played Tetris until it was a suitable hour to get up. Next night, I was at a friend's house and we pulled an all nighter in celebration and then the following night I had a party and some friends over and we slept for a grand total of maybe...3 hours. What's more, this morning I had to get up at 7 to work after having only managed to crawl into bed at 2, so, you know, there's worse things.

Like 8 HOURS SLEEP IN 4 NIGHTS.

Well, I got about 4 hours sleep last night (12:00 to 4:00) comforting a girl because she was incredibly upset about something, and just pulled an overtime shift in at the factory, and then got told I was fired from my job at the end of it.....

Yup, today was a *****.

When I worked as a horse trainer, I'd have to get up the morning of competitions at 3 AM so I could be at the show grounds by 4, get the horses fed, braided, and cleaned by 5, lunged by 6, and then start warm-ups by 7. This would go on from Thursday to Sunday. I'd be up and working from 3 AM to 8 or 9 at night. Monday was supposed to be my day off, but inevitably something would wake me up early, be it the dog wanting to go out or a friend calling at 7 in the morning, not understanding I'd only got about 5 hours sleep a night for the past three or four nights. That's definitely a terrible morning.

My god, I'm in a pool of tears here.

During my time at the Bundeswehr, especially the first 3 months of basic training, our instructors used to start throwing metal buckets around the corridors at 1am, creating an 'under attack' scenario and then making us march around the surrounding countryside until 4am before letting us go to sleep and waking us up again at 5am to start the day with sports.
These little events were elevated to whole new levels of fun during the field exercises (held in November, which basically meant sleeping in cold mud for 5 days) when they'd rip us out of our tents with ABC alerts or lobbing a goddamn grenade into the fire.

Seriously, you don't know what sleep deprivation means. Crawl to your bathroom, get some painkillers and drink a bottle of water.

I always set my phone to wake me up at 7.30am. Then I go to sleep and wake up at EXACTLY!! 8.29. Three days in a row. That's not normal, I mean, going to sleep for exactly an hour.

The officer corps was hard, give a bunch of 18-21 year old lads access to free beer, a load of military equipment (excluding rifles) and putting them in a billet together. Lots of faffing about until 3-4am, then that lovely bugle sound at 6 for full day of graft, joyous times.

Either that or getting woken up this morning by the sheer weight of the rain, sounded like hail on the windows but it wasnt, mad weather
