OT: While I could definitely see him voicing Rocket, I think del Toro as Dr. Strange would be a good piece of casting.

I dunno Benicio does have a striking resemblance to Adam Warlock...

At first i thought, "cool, Del Toro is a great actor, any part he plays will be good, hope he's an important character".
Then I read this comment and thought, hey he'd make a great Adam Warlock. Then I thought about it more. Now I can't get the image of him playing the Magus out of my head.

Here is what I think.... he is not a good fit for either really. I know he would only have to provide a voice for Rocket Raccoon, but Rocket Raccoon is always depicted with a kind of poor English, like what you get in the recent Sherlock Holmes films. He would, however, as others have noted, make a fantastic Adam Warlock. HE has the facial structure of it already and Adam Warlock has always been a serious somewhat foreboding character... which is what Del Toro is famous for. And there is no reason he wouldn't appear in Guardians of Galaxy AND have direct interaction with the Avengers in their fight against Thanos, e

While he could certainly play Dr. Strange. Strange's interactions with the Guardians of the Galaxy have never been direct. That leads me to believe he definitely would not play Dr. Strange.

Rocket Raccoon voiced by Benicio Del Toro? That's insanely brilliant. Still, I'd have loved to see him as a villain.

I'd prefer Rocket Raccoon kept the same voice actor from EMH and UMVC3 (Greg Ellis). My crazy casting choice for him would be David Tennant with full-on Scottish brogue.

I don't know why, but I get a distinct "The Watcher" vibe from that picture... Seems fitting, as one who interacts with Guardians of the Galaxy and the rest of the Marvel universe fairly regularly... I have no idea how well del Toro fits that role though.

I can agree that him as Dr. Strange would be interesting.

According to the Rocket Raccoon wiki page, "...He is set to appear in the 2014 live-action film Guardians of the Galaxy."
"He" referring to Raccoon, not Del Toro, but it could be a clue.
