3. ETID ? Ex Lives
4. Young Guns ? Bones
5. Rush ? Clockwork Angels
6. Periphery ? Periphery II
7. The Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten
8. Gallows - Gallows
9. Converge ? All We Love We Leave Behind
10. Parkway Drive ? Atlas
11. The Ghost Inside ? Get What You Give
12. Billy Talent ? Dead Silence
13. Sharks ? No Gods
14. Cancer Bats ? Dead Set On Living
15. While She Sleeps ? This Is The Six
16. Axewound ? Vultures
17. Make Do And Mend ? Everything You Ever Loved
18. The Chariot ? One Wing

20. Trash Talk - 119

Now let's hear yours!

I was indeed very impressed by rock/punk/hardcore band Mumford & Sons' new album. It stuck it to the man like a pro.

Nah but seriously, we just had a thread like this and my answer remains the same: Left Here Alone, by Faunts.

Why was I not informed of this development?

It's an awesome album, to be sure, but I'd recommend their 2005 album, From Mars to Sirius over it. That album was all but flawless, whereas I thought L'Enfant Sauvage was great but a tad repetitive. Definitely give that earlier album a listen if you're getting into Gojira.

I should probably have posted this in my first post, but whatever; it deserves to be in this thread for people to go to and uncover. It's a wonderful re-imagining of the music of Red and Blue and the person who put it all together is clearly some sort of musical Superman.

The album's also on iTunes, which is where I picked it up.

From Mars to Sirius was the first album of theirs I've listened too. I fuckin' love it. almost as much as Opeth.

I think the new Aimee Mann album, Charmer, is the only album that I have that was released this year. So, I guess that would have to be my album of the year due to my ignorance of any possible competitors (although it's also a pretty good album in its own right).

Many people have a strange dislike of them but Dragonforce - The Power Within was remarkably varied and a big step up from their previous stuff. The new vocalist certainly improves it.

The Afterman: Ascension by Coheed and Cambria is my choice. It may be short, but every song is enjoyable and there's more on the way in February when "Descension" releases.

In no order:

Clockwork Angels-Rush
Dark Roots of Earth-Testament
Blunderbuss-Jack White
Breakfast-Chiddy Bang
The Lateness of the Hour-Alex Clare

A bit mainstream, mostly since I've been focusing on movies this year more than music. Oh well.

Did Don't Say We Didn't Warn You come out this year? Because that is one of my favorite albums ever. Holy jihads Batman, someone should do something! is the best lyric ever.
