She's just bending, using her hips.

I tried bending like that, and it was very uncomfortable. JUST teetering on the edge of losing balance is not a natural position. This leads me to assume she's only been drawn bending like that because the artist would like to make it clear that she is a young woman with a curvy backside. Once again, anime woman are largely aimed at perverts.

She's so sexualized for a 14 year old girl...

I think she got to 15 by the end of the series, but there's not much after that. She's not so sexualized in the actual series, though she's definitely got her moments.

Incidentally, it's actually a fairly good game, though the voice acting for Musashi will make your ears bleed. Also, what the hell is with his hair? It's like they just took the line tool, had a seizure, and then called it a night.
