AVG is fine. Stick with it and don't waste your money. It doesn't pick up everything but then no Anti-Virus software does. It specializes in just that: Anti-Virus. Not Anti-Malware. For that I would recommend Spybot like most others are. Yet another free program. Personally, when I tried installing Avast, it had a virus inside it and I needed to reformat my computer a couple of times before I realized it was the cause. Ironic really.Phoenixlight said:So I've been using AVG (free version) for a while now but recently I've noticed that I'm being occasionally redirected to advert sites which probably means I have adware. I've done a full system scan 5 times so far and found nothing so I?ve decided to get something to replace AVG-free, what would you recommend?
thats because AVG is not an anti spy/walware thing. you need to combine it with spybot search and destroy, then, nothing will get through XDPhoenixlight said:So I've been using AVG (free version) for a while now but recently I've noticed that I'm being occasionally redirected to advert sites which probably means I have adware.
