There is actually a big difference between 'what you think is best' and 'your favourite'. Doesn't seem like anyone cares though.
Not really, the only difference between one's favorite band and 'the best' band is that the second option pretends to be objective. There's no accounting for taste. It's all subjective.
Actually there are bands that are called the greatest in the world for great reasons. And there is differences in taste whether you like to hear it or not.

That's my whole point. It's all subjective. Taste is taste. You can tell me that the Beatles are the greatest band ever hypothetically, and I can say "well I enjoy listening to Chuck Berry moreso".

When people keep caps on I'm reminded of how writing looked in kindergarten, when everyone wrote really large, cartoonish letters, often all capitalized as well. Yeah... doesn't give a good impression.

The Clash. (still) The only band that matters.

For about ten years? I think?

Favorite album is London Calling

Favorite song (oddly enough) isn't on London Calling. Gates Of The West.
Gates of the West is a great track...single (45) included with their first album, American release only I believe.
