What makes Bale better?
I think Keaton played the best Batman. That said, I think Bale played the best Bruce Wayne. And I'm only saying that Keaton did better with the acting than Bale, though Bale obviously moved much better than Keaton.
Non of the Live Action actors have portrayed the duel Bruce Wayne/Batman character yet, some get Batman right and botch up Bruce Wayne (or the other way around) or just get aspects of the character down. I personally really like Christian Bale's physically as Batman, but hate his voice, I also think he did a good Bruce Wayne. Val Kilmer totally nailed the Batman voice, while I personally believe that Michael Keaton looked best in costume.
Batman really is a hard character to get down pat for just one actor. My ideal Batman is Kevin Konroy (I really love that animated series), but as for his live action counterpart I'd say Christian Bale is probably the closest we'll get to the full Batman character.
