I have recently found a store that has a huge inventory of imported beers from around the world and I was just wondering if the people here on the escapist have any suggestions on ones I might try.

I am generally a stout, red or lager person, not too much into pillsners.

Edited to be more clear on the topic being discussed.

I do believe you're searching for this.

In Belgium, you also get fruit lagers. Cherry is the best.

I'm not a beer guy. I don't like beer much at all, but I did find one I like, since it's a bit sweeter then regular beer. Nickelbrook Green Apple Pilsner.

Oh wait, no pilsners.

Well then I don't know. Like I said, not a beer guy.

I quite like Sol Lager, with a little slice of lime shoved in the bottle, served very cold.

That, my friend, is heaven.

If you live in the UK.

Go to tesco. Go to the ale section. Pick the three weirdest looking ales with the weirdest sounding names. Purchase. Drink. Be happy.

and that is how I discovered the wonderfully bitter and delicious taste of coffee beer. It's like guinness crossed with proper beer... and maybe a bit of coffee.

Hard to say. It depends what mood your in. If you want a drink to guzzle down with a friend over and over again, go with budwiser or maybe carlsbery. Its smooth and quite easy to drink. If you want a sitdown and a chat, then heiniken.

Guinness is always a good choice.

Other then that I am a big fan of Samuel Adams they have some extremely good beers and always like buying the sampler pack their is a good mix of styles and tastes.

Other then that I usually just walk down the isles and pick up a new beer that I have not tried each time I go to the bottle shop. Usually walk out with a sampler and a 6 pack of some beer I have never tried.(Since Guinness here is no where near fresh on the rack.)

Sorry, I live in the US and I do have a bevmo nearby.

I usually stick with Guiness for stouts and Killians for Reds and then Sam Adams for most everything else.

I tend to stay away from the US american pisswater beers.

Hobgoblin. Bishop's finger. Spitfire. In that order.

even though it's by molson, Rickerds Red is quite good, and not too expensive.

[quote/]
Although packaged like a microbrew, Molson's, one of Canada's largest beer manufacturers, brews Rickards. This full-bodied red ale brewed in single batches from four malts, ranks among the best beers produced by Molson's or Labatt's. It is relatively inexpensive, and has a slightly sweet taste. The aroma is, alas, a little weak. Molson's has brewed Rickard's at the site of the old Capilano Brewing Company in Vancouver since the early 1980s. The beer has become the Great White North's most successful red ale without much mainstream marketing, and as little as possible to tie it in with its true parent company.

This beer's success led to the widespread sale of Rickard's Gold, Rickard's Pale Ale, and Rickard's Honey Brown. I do not strongly recommend any of these, unless you really like mainstream brews or have nothing else available.

Many Canadian bars keep Rickard's on tap, and it has attracted the praise of noteworthy beer connoisseur Spider Robinson.

I'll see your Spitfire and raise you a Golden Champion. I could drink that stuff all day. I know this because I have done. Summer in a bottle, an' no mistake.

Also, Hoegaarden. Except, I can't drink it any more. Kinda ruined it for myself, along with Corona, on a night where I ended up in hospital.

I've been tending towards Guinness lately, can't get enough of that stuff on a hot day.
