Any and every old school game I could want, Rom'd to my computer: Priceless.
So this is why Activision are charging a crap load of money for the new Call of Duty...

Fallout for 10 dollars in 2000, with the left over change I had from buying Age of Empire 2 The conquerors. I was eleven.

I was originally going to buy this stock standard looking rpg named "Deathtrap dungeon" or something because I'd read the choose your own adventure style book it was based on. But when I got my dad's attention (he was carrying my birthday money), it was gone.

Dad grabbed a lone copy of Fallout from the bargain bin and said "This looks really good", to this day, I don't know if it was because he thought it did or because he want to cheer me up.

I didn't play A0E2 for months, I was too busying playing fallout again and again. I hadn't read any manual and the first time through I didn't even know how to spend points I gained leveling up, let alone choose wisely.

An unopened copy of Thief 2 The Metal Age (the 2 CD ROM set for Windows!) for $2, best two bucks ever.

Serious Sam, 2?. Barrels of fun, and every single line that guy delivers is solid gold.

A few months ago I got Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 for 1 dollar each, and they're great. I know what some of you might be thinking since I tend to gab on about classic games, but I never got into PCs until 2001 so Doom and the like were off the radar to me.

Another one is Alien Shooter 2, 5 bucks on steam and you get a crazy overhead shooter where you just kill thousands of Aliens, if you're not fond of alien killing then be well friend there's a Zombie shooter too, for 5 bucks as well.

Gunstar Heroes for Sega Genesis. I had some mail-in rebate for a game and chose that. Seriously put sooooo much time playing that game.

Mass Effect gets the runner up for me at $9+tax, but the big win goes to Final Fantasy Tactics (the PSX one, not the shitty GBA one) at $10 flat.

Oh God, I'm so jealous. I tried so hard to find those games [Bushido Blade] after playing them and never could. They're the undisputed king of all fighting games.

Warship Gunner 2 = $1 during the "need to make room" sale a few months ago at my local Gamestop.

I go the orange box for $10 the first of may... the best $10 I ever spent.
But I also got Civilization: Call to Power for like <$1, my first strategy game and it still holds a special place in my heart. It also causes me to be very disappointed when a new civ comes out and it doesn't go to 3000AD and include space and underwater cities, and all kinds of cool futuristic units.

Most of the cheap games I buy are pretty good (only cuz I'm very very very vyer vyeryvyefyeyvyevyev v e veyv eyv eyry picky) so I'll list the cheap game I enjoyed so much I kept it to this very day. And that game was Primal. Sure it was a soulless Sony Europe (Studio Cambridge) development, but it cost $4.23 American at an EB Games (before GameStop bought them out) and it's kept me entertained enough times to prevent it's cashing in for the ten cent deposit.

The only part that really creeps me is a serious nit-pick I can't believe they wrote in is the fact that the character you play has essentially be shacking up with her half-brother on their demon-father's side. /blech
