What is the best (and/or possibly funniest if you feel like making jokes) compliment you can say to a person that you can think of? Mine would be one from Family Guy: "You look like Britney Spears, except you're not a fat guy". How about you?

"You know, you're pretty cute/smart/funny, considering."

Considering what?
CONSIDERING WHAT?

... Is the reaction I go for.
Messing with people is fun.

I'm tempted to try this now.

I compliment them while insulting at the same time

"My dear, the intensity of your beauty is matched only by the intensity of your breath".

I got two.

I must be a feminist because I want to be on a horizontal plane with you.

I must be Louis XVI because I feel an uprising in my lower class

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? ...because it looks like you landed on your face."

"You really make me feel intelligent -- especially when you talk."

"You're smart to do your laundry on Saturday night, when everyone else is out."

I was once told that I make people feel better about their lives, because when they haven't done their homework they can always rely on me to be in the same position.

A nice little backhanded comment there ;D

But I can't think of any that aren't chat up lines D= Goddamn I've heard some amazing chat up lines

Dig the OP, not the rest. The rest of this is passive-aggressive and bordering on sociopathic.

I like the way you think =D
I shall experiment with this

(similar results can be achieved like so: http://xkcd.com/559/)

OT: Given my arrogance, the best you'll get is "You're so great, you're almost as good as me!"

"There are a lot of good looking guys out there... but few are as intelligent as you are."
and "I don't want to boost your ego but that was pretty much the best sex I've ever had."

Were compliments that did, in fact, boost my ego. Also the following exchange with a girl:

"You're really beautiful."
"And you're ridiculously handsome."

Pretty mushy, I know.

I wouldn't know which of the things I've said have made people feel better about themselves. I'm sure there have been some but can't think of any at the moment. But probably the most important one was actually an apology, when I told a woman how sorry I was for all the times I was such an asshole.
