Best customization mechanics.

I vote FFT and Parasite Eve.

For the first...I loved being a Monk, that can Jump high, use a potion everytime I got hit, could punch twice (or once for big damage), and teleport.

For the second...a MP5 machine gun with acid, fire, and ice capabilites that I can quickdraw, fire multiple times, that ALSO has the spray of a shotgun?

how about the Warcraft3 map editor that basically gave you a tool to warp and aspect or game mechanic you want. people come up with some really unique things like turning an Orc into Darth Vader(no joke), or entire games separate from the main story like HvO or DoTA(however you write that). Just ask anyone who has played custom games on warcraft3, I hold it as the pinnacle of game customization or map making or whatever you want to call it.

Same. I played Warcraft 3 for ages just because of all the custom maps available.

Yeah, Blizzard really knows how to extend a game's lifespan.

I'd have to say Crysis had some of the best customization mechanics, mainly because the game revolved around that suit of yours. Great fun was had.

Im gonna say saints row 2 because the amount of things you can customize in that game is ridiculously amazing
