I bought "Beyond Good & Evil" for Gamecube the other day for $9.75 from EB Games (Canada' GameStop). I thought that was a pretty good deal. It was used though.

I work at an electronics store (not future shop or best buy) and I will regularly take prices down to 5% below cost (what the store paid for it) if: 1) it will get them to buy it with warranty, getting my numbers up or 2) I just really like them and they seem like a person who could use a good deal to make their day a little better. (This is the part where I'm glad this isn't a discussion with my real name attached to it)

So I guess if you guys shopped with me you could all post cool stuff in this thread.

I went to buy a new game when I was young, but I only had 25/50 bucks for it. This guy who was shopping with his son told me to give him the money and he'd buy the game for me, so long as I returned the kindness to someone else when I could.

Awesome game, awesome moral. Best deal ever.

Either Super Meat Boy for only 800 MS points, or 36 cans of pop for 10 bucks at the Safeway near my school, a deal that my friends and I just found out about and took full advantage of.

DailySteals had a deal on Wednesday for a digital camcorder shaped like a car remote for about $20 with shipping.

MSRP about $135

Good deal.

I didn't buy it, but 10 copies of Half-Life 2 for $20 today on Steam? Holy shit, if that isn't the greatest deal I've ever seen, then I don't know what is.

The best deal I've made the most of, though, is the STALKER bundle that was on sale a couple weeks ago on Steam: Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat for ten bucks total. That's half the price of either game on its own.

the orange box for 20$. every game in there is worth twice what any modern FPS goes for, and there is 5 of them. by my sense of worth; thats roughly 500$ of entertainment for one measly andrew jackson.

best game deal ever. no disrespect to president jackson.

At Dave & Buster's I chose out a giant Stewie (before the quality of those dolls went to shit) which was supposed to cost 5,500 tickets. The guy scanned the wrong barcode and instead it cost me 550. 10% retail "price"!

Baldur's Gate box set for £15.

Both games, and each game's expansion pack. All told, I probably got about 500 hours of gameplay out of it. Doesn't get much better than that.

The orange box, definitely. Every game is great, and I've spent hundreds of hours on tf2 alone. I still play it a few days a week in fact.

I once found a new DVD of "I, Robot" with Will Smith for 5$. Insta-buy.

Sure, it's nowehere near Asimov's story, but still a good movie.
