I remember on Earthworm Jim, if you finished on Easy, a narrator scolded you and stopped you seing the (hilariously anticlimatic) ending, and instead began reading from a massive, boring autocue that rose up on the screen "All about worms".

He'd loose his place, get stuck or mispronounce things. at random intervels he would stop and randomly say something else.

Then he narrated the credits in a silly voice. Then he said

"Superman, Batman, Wondewoman and the Leauge of JUSTICE, conveyed in the HALL OF EVERLASTING JUSTICE and proclaimed..."it's...it's the...end..."

"...yeah!" agreed Superman

I'd say Duke Nukem 3D

Not sure what they were something like

Piece of cake: Very Easy

Shoot Aliens and chew bubble gum: Easy

Lets rock: Medium

Come get some: Tough

Damm I'm good: Hardest

Doom ones were good also.

The "You won't survive" was fun in the COD games.

Also, this difficulty discussion reminds me of the "Heroes only take headshots" message that pops up...

I personally prefer Carmageddon's difficulty descriptions.

Easy: As easy as stomping kittens
Normal: Your everyday carnage and mayhem
Hard: As hard as fist fighting a velociraptor
