OT: I don't think "dressing up" really adds to bands in any way, I think it distracts from the music quite honestly. So I'm going to say Lamb of God, because the just dress normally.
"Dressing up" migt not, but the masks are pretty genious due to the reason.
Wearing a mask makes it impossible for the audience to connect the music to a particular face and identity, thus works to eliminate the risk of fans thinking they like the music just because they recognize the performer.
Kind of how fans get mesmerized by Britney Spears because you ALWAYS see her fucking face in every video and every preformance, connecting the dots between her identity, life story and all that with the "music" she's preforming.
Showing the world your identity and letting the tabloids get ahold of your life story, values and the like is in my opinion way more of an attention grabbing spectacle than doing your best to stay as anonymous as you can and making your fans concentrate on the music and imagery you try to create. Something that Slipknot's been trying to do from the start.
