Great Story, quite a bit of replay value, fun gameplay, and...great story.

Pokemon Animal Crossing Harvest Moon and Phoenix Wright.

You can't go wrong with Pokemon. Animal crossing and Harvest moon are about farming and it's totally awesome. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney is about a lawyer and you get to say OBJECTION! alot =D

Possibly one of the Final Fantasy's or Pokemon games.

The DS castlevanias are good, even dawn of sorrow. Pretty much any platformer with Mario in it. Starfy is the happiest game ever made. The advanced wars games are great fun. Tetris DS is the greatest mult-player experience out there (Local, online is so-so), the Kirby games, the Zelda games, Custom Robo (an under-appreciated gem), the list goes on.

New Super Mario Bros. Doesn't try to do anything fancy with the touchscreen or dual screen, just good old fashioned platform fun.

The mini games are ok. I only play the bomb dragging game though, high score is 182.

Gonna have to go with the advance wars games, or Final fantasy tactics A2. Truely brilliant games.

For the longest time I had a near-crippling addiction to the double tag-team of Elite Beat Agents and Advance Wars: Dual Strike, both of which I only stopped playing after I'd completely beaten them in every way conceivable and unlocked every possible bit of hidden content.

I'm also a sucker for the DS Castlevania games. Portrait of Ruin and the newest one; Order of Ecclesia are both among the best Castlevania games ever made. Love em!

GRAND THEFT AUTO: CHINATOWN WARS might be the best GTA game ever (yes I mean that - it does what GTA 4 forgot to do - it remembers to be FUN) -
HOTEL DUSK is a really cool point-n-click Noir mystery story -
