I remember, as a kid, when DVD's were first released. The first one my family watched on our DVD player was Ghost Busters, and I remember being really amazed at the idea of a DVD menu. Actually seeing the characters run around on the TV, before you play the film. I suppose younger members may not even remember what it was like to see a movie on VHS.

Now the experience is pretty boring and lifeless. However, watching End of Eva recently, I was actually caught off guard by how weird and intriguing the DVD menu was. It got me really excited to watch the film again, and the way the music and scenes synced up was pretty good. It even had letters dropping off from the title in order to mess with you. In a way, I felt like the menu actually became part of the experience, and for the first time I actually sat through the whole thing before playing the film.

Are there any DVD menus that stood out to you, and actually added to the film?
