OK, I know there's been a lot of EA hate over the years but they have made a few decent contributions to the gaming industry. So what's yours? Remember, it must be a game developed by EA NOT just published by them.

I would like to nominate Medal of Honor: Frontline as their best game. A fantastic mix of busy and lonely scenarious, ever-changing scenery, variety in missions (as far as standard FPSers go), very fun multiplayer, and awesome graphics for its time. This game really blew me away when I first got it for the gamecube. One of the last games I can remember thinking it was worth the RRP.

There's also Mirror's Edge, which I guess is an EA game seeing as they own DICE if I've read up correctly.

I nominate Dead Space. It has an extremely excellent control set up. The gameplay was very well done and the pacing of the game was awesome. Sure the story was sort of ripped off from other sources like the movie Event Horizon. But what video game or movie to completely original these days? Most people loved the Matrix as a movie. That story was so ripped off of 20 different places. Dead Space was great IMHO. My only complaint that it was too easy even on the harder modes of play. There were too many save points and too much ammo to make me feel really threatened by Necromorphes. I loved that game and I look forward to Dead Space 2 as they are making it right now.

I want to know where the real Maker is. What happened to it? Who has it? As the Marker in Dead Space was just a human made copy I think the real Marker will be in Dead Space 2.

That's too hard. EA have published so many games that when I think of a good one it is almost always something not developed internally or something from a newly bought studio.

John Madden Football for the Megadrive was pretty impressive, I guess.

There has been plenty of hate, but any company with games like Mass Effect 2 and Dead Space they still need to retain some credibility. Its just that they release SOO many games that you have to filter out the crap.

Lostplanet, Medal of Honour: Pacific Assault, or Dead Space.

EA has churned out a lot of games, and also a lot of bad.
One game series that pops out in my mind without having to go look up what game was made by who is Command and Conquer, a fantastic series.
Though it does seem some developers like to go to EA for a <url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DealWithTheDevil>publishing deal.

The only good EA games are games EA produced or published, rather than original EA titles.

Like, say, Timesplitters: Future Perfect.

oooo nice thread. Hmm, where to start?

Well, Mirror's Edge i give kudos for its innovation

The Battlefield series deffo gets a thumbs up

Medal of Honour was probs one of the best WWII shooters, only better'd by probs Call Of Duty 1 / 2 and 5

erm, I would say Sims, but i think the credit for that should go to Maxis.

It's hard because they have such a huge catalog of good games.

dungeon keeper. period.
Sorry to double post, but Bullfrog should get the praise for that
EA basically owned bullfrog.
Yes, and then they ate them, chewed them up, and spit them out. What a waste. Hell, I think even EA realizes it was a bad move to kill Bullfrog now. That is why they are treating all their new dev studios so well these days.

I would have to pick the Command and Conquer games....

Although, I played Madden on the SNES religiously for many years, and I always get a little tingle of nostalgia whenever I hear the announcer go "EA Sports - It's in the Game"

The Medal of Honour games have always been enjoyable and as far as I know its EA developed (not just published). Good thread by the way.

Medal of Honour: Allied Assault is by far my favourite game in terms of gameplay (for it's time) and nostalgia.
After that, Battlefield: Bad Company comes next in my opinion.
When will Haggard get that Truckasaurus? :D

I guess the best I've played would be either Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142

Edit: I just remembered from the above posts that Bullfrog was an EA branch. I've had Dungeon Keeper since it was first released, brilliant game, that gets my vote instead. In terms of more modern releases though, the above 2 are my picks.

Command and Conquer was done by Westwood. EA picked it up late when it got more mediocre.

EA publishes a lot games, I wouldn't say they really develop any these days...

I think I'll have to say SSX Tricky for the "New"-ish EA.

I really enjoy their Madden series and their NHL series. I've liked a couple of their EA games as well, but more often than not I've disliked them. I dunno, I have split feeling over EA and their games.
