Uncharted was brilliant, unoriginal sure, but brilliant, for me it's between that, Killzone 2 and Little big planet.
I agree Uncharted. Completed it two and half times in a fortnight.

Are you talking Exclusives? I think a lot of people will say Fallout 3 if you aren't.

i was in your shoes not too long ago mate.
id say ti all depends on what you wanna go for.
Resistance 2 is pretty good but it seems to lack something for me. its good just not great and i find the multiplayer far to frantic with 60 players online.

MGS4 is a brilliant game for the story, i play it with on friend (whos a MGS nut) so he can play the story too as hes unable to afford a PS3 :p the multiplayer is ok on it. not great though.

rachet and clank is great. so funny but no multiplayer so once its done its done (unless your one of these guys who plays through single player over and over and over)

Uncharted in my eyes is brillaint. i think it was the 3rd game ive bought for my PS3 atfer MGS4 and LBP which i got with it so i supose it doesnt count. no multiplayer, brillaint single player, great grpahics (even for a relativly old game now) but still a gem, id say pick it up even if you pick something different because its so damn cheap nowadays.

heavenly sword is also pretty good, i found it rather short but i did blitz through it and it was all i played for like 3 days. some great use of the sixaxis (i never thought id say that) and a relativly good looking game thats a solid hack and slash to wind away some hours.

over all id say just keep playing killzone 2 online :p

hope that helped mate

Scranno is the PSN. add me and ill play some LBP, MGS4, Killzone 2 or some Resistance 2

Can't go wrong with the Orange Box, obviously its not an exclusive by any stretch of the imagination but it still a super-impressive collection. It 'bakes my biscuits' so to speak.

dude really. it was such a horrible mess on the PS3. even more than 360.
I'm sure i read somewhere that valve don't like developing for the PS3.
if your gonna the orange box get PC all the way.
some games just deserve it

*ahem* command and conquer *ahem**ahem*

I just checked up on it and it sounds awesome, pretty much more of the same. I'll download it once I get to my PS, and you'll know the latest in around 2 weeks :D
Why haven't you picked it up?

Hmm? As I stated earlier, I don't own a PS3 and have never even played one. I've got a 360 and don't really see much reason to have both besides Ratchet and Clank. Never cared for MGS, so talking about MGS4 is about as compelling to me as talking about the latest advances in toilet paper. The most fun I've ever had on my PS2 is likely the Ratchet and Clank games, so I am still interested in knowing how the series is doing.

Oh ok. Same for me, I've played an Xbox 360 but never really cared since I'm not too much into muscular war games. In terms of PS2 plattformers I only prefer Jak and Daxter, but Ratchet is another reason that made me pick up the PS3

Do you have any idea how sick I am of muscular fucking war games?! The only thing that remains fun is talking to people while playing different games than them through private chat and the party system. Oh, and "N+". Because you CAN have fun dying constantly. You know what I realized? The PS2 was THE place for JRPGs and the PS3 has next to nothing in that department. Somehow, the 360 got every JRPG. It makes no sense!!!!

Yea, you are right about that. Valkyria Chronicles is pretty good, but the 360 actually has quite a few of its own. The PS2 was "the place" for quite a few things...

Gotta go with MGS 4, Uncharted, and Valkyria Chronicles. Fallout 3'd be on that list if Bethesda would pull their heads out of their asses and give us some DLC.

I recommend MGS4 but I dont at the time. Its not everyones cup of tea, long cut scenes which depend on you being quite familiar with the series. Other than that I really enjoyed the game.

Uncharted is fantastic.

Ive had KZ2 for like a fortnight but havent played it yet since im trying to finsh Halo Wars still :S so I cant exactly comment..

Resistance 1 and 2 are both good.

If your new to this generation of gaming go CoD4 but I dont know if many are playing it these days or if everyones playing KZ2.

The best? Hmmmm. See, there's some real golden games to choose from. I'd get the new Prince of Persia, only because I'm on a total PoP kick right now (seriously, I've gone into Fan girl mode).

Metal Gear Solid 4 was a beautiful game with many touching moments. It illicits 4 of the base emotions that they even get into in the game (Fear, rage, joy, and sorrow). MGS4 is like a bridge between cinema and gaming, so be ready for some movie'esq parts. By and large, it's an amazing game. The one downside (though, it's also a very positive aspect), is that it only REALLY pays off if you've played all three previous installments. See, the 4th installment ties off every loose end, everywhere.

Uncharted takes every treasure platforming adventure game ever, and puts out a really successful game! The characters are wonderfully relateable, the enviroments are eye wateringly beautiful, and the gameplay is fun!

Those are two exclusives that are really worth while. (I cannot speak for Resistance 2, but Resistance 1 was a well executed shooter. :))

Non exlcusives... goodness, I could go on.

Prince of Persia (2008) is a rebooting of the series, telling a story with a new Prince, and a new Princess, Elika. It's a departure from Sands of time, and gets back into it's Arabian Nights origins. The enviroments and art are stunningly beautiful (Assassins Creed engine-- also a good game). The game is more about character depth, and plot than it is about combat. There are but a handful of combats through the game, but all of them are on the Personal Level. You really get to know your foe! They arn't some level 2 boss. They are a opponants that you learn about, and understand. By the end, you're connected to everything so closely, that you won't really be ready for anything. Because of the plot orientated nature of this game, be CAREFUL of spoilers out there.

The Darkness was a comicbook adapted game that tells a story so well executed, that you'll never want to stop. Took me a week to beat it while I was at home ill. I played it nearly non stop too. Lots of game play, and likely very inexpensive these days.

Mirrors Edge is a platforming revolutionary game. With emphasis on manuverability and undertoned themes of Freedom than combat. There is gunplay, hand to hand combat, but it treats bullets as what they are; deadly. It's a great game with plenty of flaws. You either love it or hate it. There is a Demo, and I suggest giving it a go. Also, if you get motion sick, don't consider this game.

I really could go on. Just pick something that sounds like it appeals, and you'll have made a solid desision.
