Best/Favorite Powerups Ever

I''m about halfway through my first playthrough of Megaman ZX, and one trip to Gamefaq's later, and I just discovered hat the Hx suit had two powers I didn't know it had, promoting it from legendary to godlike. It is now easily the best ability I have ever had in a video game. I could elaborate more, but you came here to gush about what you like, not listen to me.

Anyway, what powerups have you found the most awesome in your virtual travels?

More on the Hx suit within that spoiler box:
Imagine the original Megaman X. You've got your dashing and your crazy-chainable wall-jumping. That's pretty much what your character has at the start of MM ZX. Beat the easiest Robot Master in ZX and you get the HX suit, which has all those powers you had originally, plus air dashing, double jumps, slow fall, and the Z-Saber from Megaman Zero. With that incredibly powered-up agility, you can tool around cities in a way that would make Spiderman jealous.

However, that doesn't even touch upon Hx's offensive might. The Z-saber version Hx deals less damage than your default sword, but makes up for it with increased range, a 3-hit combo that fires a super-powerful shockwave, and a charged atack that fires a crippling homing shot. There is also another powerup you can get that lets your saber deflect bullets, meaning that losing your Megabuster in Hx form is not a problem.

However, none of the aforementioned abilities come close to Hx's OP boss-destroying power of Overdrive. Using Ovedrive puts your character into a rage state during which all of her attacks stun enemies and deal double damage. Since you have a ludicrous amount of weapon energy to fuel it, you end up with enough Overdrive time to turn bosses to mincemeat in about 15 seconds. The Hx suit is as Op as it is damn fun to use.

The feather from one of the earlier mario karts. It let you cut out huge portions of the track if used properly :p

Or maybe the quake from thw Wipeout games. For when you just want to screw everyone over.

Overshield from Halo

Admit it, the feeling of having a second or third life bar covering you while the announcer saying "Overshield" in a badass way makes you feel like you can take on anything.

You think that's impressive, just wait until you unlock the HX's tornado ability.
Personally, I prefer the FX suit. It has 2 guns that can be used like giant brass knuckles, can fire upwards, and can ignite enemies. It minces most bosses quickly and is easier to use than HX. You can even modify the projectile's trajectory. Want your shot to travel forwards then suddenly shoot up? You can do that! You can even use it to smash blocks in your way.

Though admittedly, the HX tornado can annihilate bosses much more easily than even the FX can.

I like a weapon I can fire while moving. Seeing that I have both H Biometals unlocked and fully repaired, I probably already have the tornado ability, but don't know how to use it.

If I remember correctly, you just have to fire off a charged attack.
You have to jump or press up or something before you release too.

Ooh, sounds fancy. I'll have to try it out. Thanks a lot.

Playing Singed in League and combining Insanity Potion with Ghost to run rings around a gank is fucking amazing. You move SO FAST!

Admittedly I prefer to stagger them both instead of stacking them at the same time. They chase you longer if they think they still have a chance of catching you :3

I would say Aigis' Orgia Mode in Persona 4 Arena but it's not really buffing her exactly, it's removing limiters so she gets all her moves for a certain amount of time and a super fast dashes. I don't think it gives her more damage on her moves or anything.

Metroid is full of awesome power ups, but the Screw Attack is probably the coolest looking. See a bunch of enemies in a hallway? Screw em!

Honorable mention: Meroid Prime Trilogy plasma beams, incinerate most enemies with one satisfying charge shot.

I'd have to go with the classic Starman from SMB. Simple, elegant, and it comes with its own theme music.

The P-Wing from Super Mario 3. Funny story when I was a kid playing that for the first time me and my friends encountered our first game glitch... and it was in our favor. We were messing around on the title screen as we talked about how good or bad we were depending on who it was.

When we finally pressed start we checked the item screen and had unlimited P-Wings. It was the first time we beat the game because it was easy after you could fly through every stage.

In Bastion, I like the final upgrade for the Musket, which lets you shoot two shots at once. Even with five idols active, I destroyed with that thing in the final level.
