Whats the freeware game out there that you love most?
Is it a browser played flash game?
One of those free mmo's?
Or just a game that was made to be played for free?

My favorite freeware game would have to be a tie between Iji for its choices and stories and bootfighter windom for its funny pilots and arcade style giant robot fight.

So whats your fave?

The Thing Thing series of flash games is always fun. I also enjoyed Trilby (the one on this site) a lot.

there are quite a few really that are a blast, in flash or even a few decent free mmo's etc..

I lately have been playing a bunch of NES EMU games that are put out in a flash form.. sure I COULD go into the closet and pull out my " console graveyard" and hunt for the nes and the games,, but for a quick run through punch out or something its preferable.

I find alot of flash games to kill time through things like newgrounds etc..

Free MMo's have ups and downs, some are great some suck, some are not " really free" but you can survive well without coughing up money.

planeshift was one of the first freebies I found years ago.. it was alright at the time, but they were just just just starting to add things so very limited..

puzzle pirates >.< cute and fun for a few minutes till it clicks on to to do anything at all you need money, and the community in general pissed me off after a while, and I dont have much patience with puzzle games all the time, it gets dull really fast.

9 Dragons had potential... I was lead community mod, and lead VGM with that series for a time, but like many games that get leased, what we got for it, when we got it, and how often was completely up to the developer, who really did not seem to have a firm grasp on dealing in western buisness, and often snubbed Acclaim for their other publishers.. and the community itself has too may ups and downs. and from word go its a heavy heavy grinder, and very few events... there buying from the item store for real cash is amust if you plan to level at all once you past 60.

Perfect World International is one free" ish" mmo I think has gotten alot of potential the community comes across as more mature, and polite...though it's a grinder to some extent there normally is enough extra going on to take a break..
though like many games now, has a item mall, but unlike 9d which did not allow you to sell or trade mall items, PW does...so if your hard pressed for real cash and want that swift polar bear mount, or that training scroll its easy enough to find people selling them for in game coin... only down side is prepare to pay alot for the items as like with pretty much all player based economy, it's in a constant state of inflation.

I'll just stop there I just realized I ended up writing reviews >.<

There are multiple free games I enjoy.

"N" The way of the ninja [http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/] a fun little puzzle game.

Phun [http://www.phunland.com/wiki/Home] a physics sandbox.

Dwarf Fortress [http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/] I suck at playing it, but I don't care. Losing is fun [http://dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Losing]
