Best Freeware Games You've Played/Own

Freeware games, as in free games to download and play off the internet, and don't mean piracy and what not. What's the best one you've played, or own.

Mine would be Knytt Stories by Nifflas, or I Wanna Be The Guy, the most fustrating game I've ever played.

Minions. It's a flash game, so you don't actually download it, but it is fucking fun once you figure it out. Other than that, a large selection of games over on Kongregate.com are quite good, and free.

Battle for Wesnoth! [http://www.wesnoth.org/]

Fantastic turn-based fantasy strategy game, with plenty of campaigns and new additions all the time.

I heartily recommend it.

Also, I'd recommend checking out Abandonia Reloaded [http://reloaded.org/] which is a great repository of freeware games.

And finally, would you include games that have become freeware? For example the fantastic adventure game "Beneath A Steel Sky" [http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/beneath_a_steel_sky] has been freeware for a while now, and is well worth playing.

Frets on Fire, if your into the whole guitar hero/rock band thing. Theres a pretty big song making community too so you can get pretty much any song for the game.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Its modded to hell though nowadays, which is good if you play reguarly but I dont so just wanna play it vannila.

A Game With a Kitty 2: Darkside Adventures

My word what a mouthful! It's a good game, the music is excellent (I wish they gave out some MP3s...), the graphics are nice, it's funny and with a bit of tweaking I think it would make a solid DS game.
