Of what I played, I'd have to say Battlefield: Bad Company 2. But still really want to play Mass Effect 2 and Red Dead Redemption, so my opinion will probably change.

Around the time Red Dead came out, I would have said that. Then I suddenly got bored of it half way through, so it's back to Mass Effect 2 for me. Metro 2033 is a close runner up.

Heavy Rain. The other 2010 games I've played, Bad Company 2, SoulSilver, BioShock 2... They don't even come close to Heavy Rain. I've never just sat down and played a game from beginning to end like I did Heavy Rain and the whole time I was completely sucked into the experience. Nothing short of a masterpiece and Quantic Dream took everything that was wrong with Indigo Prophecy and learned from their mistakes. Every single problem that I can remember having with Indigo Prophecy (quick time events making it hard to focus on the action and what buttons you're supposed to be pressing at the same time, some completely irrelevant scenes (ok, there are some in Heavy Rain but there are a lot less), the story took a turn for the silly after a while... plus more) and fixed them. I'm going to do a review for my 6,000th post. Not that anyone will read it, it's just because I want to drool over that game for a while.

Team Fortress 2.

What? Don't judge me!
Who's judging?

It's still practically a new game, what with all the new content, and the up-and-coming (read: in the next two years) engie update, it is easily the GOTY.

Besides that, RDR. My only complaint is that practically all the characters are totally unlikeable douchebags.

My playtime as an engineer outstrips all other classes by probably 500% and now that you've reminded me of the eternal wait for my update I must kill myself.

Mass Effect 2 was fantastic but I'm gonna have to say Red Dead Redemption. Immersive, epic and just plain fun.

I am alarmed at your chosen fate, but I totally understand. The wait is killing us all. Every time I check the blog page (often) and it isn't updated, I die a little on the inside.
