The only FF's I've played are FF7 FF8 and FFX.

FFX really blew me away in the "feelings" department,especially at the end so I chose that as my favorite Squaresoft(enix) game.

Going with Kingdom Hearts on this one. Fantastic gameplay, engaging story, sympathetic characters. The second one was also pretty good, but not as good.

I agree, but i think the second was just as good.

Eh. It was still engaging and really fun, and added loads to the mythos. But it was... I don't know, lacking something.

Sora became more of a whiney puff in 2 than in 1 (but he was still alright in fairness), especially after you start out playing as Roxas who is a far cooler character, but I stil loved the game. I prefer a couple of abilities and how they're excecuted in 1 like errr... that one beginning with R and was something like Ragnarok. While I felt the addition of the Other Side and Nobodies greatly enhanced the story.

Now to carry on with our 8 year ish wait for Kingdom Hearts 3!

The World Ends With You. I love the urban setting, I love the battle system, I love the story, I love the characters, I love the music, the content and the "hipster rebellious attitude" thing...it is definitely my kind of game.

Best, I can't say. But personal favourite? I'm going to put in a minority vote for Song Summoner. The original one, for the classic iPod. Why?

One: It attempted a game for a very unfriendly platform to games. Points.
Two: It did it in a clever way, using the nature of the platform to its advantage.
Three: It was actually pretty fun.
Four: FUNKY YO.

Chrono Cross is squaresoft lol

Square enix's best game is easily Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria outside that nothing to me has really stood out.

If we are counting squaresoft then there is alot to choose from and imo no clear winner but Chrono trigger, FF4-11 and some other stuff.

Chrono Trigger was first and Chrono Cross was second....they where on different systems.

I did change the title, it says soft/enix now. And why does it matter what system the game is on. People like FFVII over FFXIII even though they are on different systems. I personally still love Trigger, but the goddamn awesome music in Chrono Cross can't be topped IMO.

Final Fantasy VIII, my favourite game of all time. Yeah, there's actually someone who loves VIII. Every middle-generation Final Fantasy by Squaresoft is close behind, though. Not Enix. Final Fantasy hasn't felt like Final Fantasy since Square merged with Enix.

That game is what made me love Squaresoft. And then Squall made me hate it.

Actually, I take that back, I really enjoyed the quasi-complexity of the junctioning system in FF8...I just HATED Squall...god, just thinking about him pisses me off.

But other than Mario, I would definitely say Final Fantasy III (for the NA release on the SNES, VI to the rest of the world), because that was the first video game I ever played, and I just went back and beat it a year ago, and I still love it.

EDIT:

Gonna say Just Cause 2, their only game I've played, and probably would be even if I had played others, it's just so much fun in one game.

I had no idea that Just Cause 2 was Squeenix. That's a damn fun game.

Also, I forgot about Chrono Cross. I've never played Trigger, but I really liked CC.
