Best Gaming Rock Song

One of my favourite gaming rock songs is "Karma" by Bump Of Chicken, from Tales of the Abyss. Both the instrumental and band versions are awesome.

Yeah that a great one, but technically it was released before and weren't made for the game. It where the famous song from the Norwegian metal band Ragnarok, btw the song is called Otherworld.

I would suggest the Black Mages (Uematsu's band) version of "those who fight further" aka the FF7 boss theme, or "the battle of four fiends".

Pretty much any song from the Guilty Gear or Blazblue games kicks the shit out of any other video game rock I've ever heard. Diasuke Ishiwatari kicks more ass than a drunken Friday night at an Irish tavern.

or possibly Margaret Moonlight's song in No More Heroes 2 "Philistine", It's a catchy song and she sings it for the whole fight.

I guess it would be "Otherworld" because I don't remember many rock songs originating in games. Now, if that was not the limiting factor, World in Conflict is loaded with some decent 80's songs ;P

you got it all wrong, you need to play games with music that has an opposite effect on the game. Here's what I listen to while playing games (pretty exclusivly online fps's).
well I tend to do better when this is playing anyways.
