Best Gaming SFX

What's your favourite gaming sound effect in any game? A simple question but hard to pin-point.

For me its the levelling up sound in Call of Duty 4, and a quite obscure one, the blue waves that the first boss uses against you in Spyro 2. Link to the boss fight below:

You don't see much blood, but that's got to be the most brutal BOOM headshot in any game ever.

The hit sound in Warsow (I only play instagib).

Obvious Link opening chest jingle, and the sound you get when you switch to Ebisumaru in Mystical Ninja. The sound of death in Melee (if you know what I mean) / the homerun sound in it.

That wailing sound the Banshee made every time you turned in the first Halo.

Too bad they removed it.

The sound of charging your light saber in No More Heroes.

The sound that my sword makes when it slishes through looters in Mount and Blade. Because it means they didn't block it.

Dead Space has this room early on in the game with an extremely loud machine that sounds like a vacuum cleaner right beside your ear. Nothing happens in that room, but something about that loud incessant sound as you walk through it kind of puts you on edge.
