Title says it all, what are some of the best glitches you've encountered in games? I had one that made me invincible to all damage in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It was great!

hmm, I got spot no.1 on Crazy taxi in the arcade by jumping off a ramp and doing a wheely, (that wheely gives scores)...and it just kept doing the wheely until I hit a building. Was quite hilarious hehe.

Many actually come to mind

In Red Dead Redemption all of the textures suddenly disabled so every thing was its default model color, this sticks out as it was the first time I had encountered such a huge graphical glitch. Then a similar thing happened in Tomb Raider 2013 where i thought a cart highlighted in green was an in-game hint, except that after passing that point the game slowly began to break down as textures disappeared and random primary color gradients replaced them, At one point i was climbing a rope and wanted to check out that weird shadow pattern on Lara's face, turned put her face had become a checkerboard. I had to quit because the nearest cutscene devolved in to random colors and shapes making random movements.

I have no idea how I triggered it but I can only call what happened to me Horizontal Gravity. In Saints Row The Third I was playing coop with my friend and I got launched by an explosion when I hit a wall I just stayed there stuck to the wall and I could roll along it using the movement keys. When I rolled off the wall I just kept flying at a slow steady speed still in ragdoll and when ever I hit something that could block my progress it could roll on it and when I rolled off I continued to fly. Basically this caused my friend to have to continue the mission by himself and me to wonder what the hell was going on. And it only fixed itself once we failed the mission because he was killed and had to restart.

In Metal Gear Rising I was prolonging the prologue fight with Sam because I was pretty good at parrying, some how I managed to glitch him off of the train and had to wait for the hidden timer to run out to continue on with the fight.

And in, I think it was Dark Souls, I managed to glitch a hard enemy in to just standing still. I have no idea how it happened but hey, free kill for a difficult enemy that has a lot of souls.

In Hitman: Absolution, a dead body got stuck to my leg and I dragged it around for the rest of the mission.

In Metal Gear Solid 3, my crocodile mask stayed on during a serious cut-scene and it made everything ridiculous.

In Dragon Age: Origins, everyone had Alistair's face--it felt like Being John Malkovich until I restarted the game.

Maybe not strictly a bug but an exploit: I always loved how you could abuse Super Stimpaks in Fallout 1 and 2 to silently assassinate NPCs. It just added a whole other level to the quest structures and contributed to the freedom of the games.

Playing the last Ronin mission on Saints Row 2. The boss sucks because you only fight with a sword, and only hit him after a certain action is done. Me and my friend were getting beat pretty badly, but then after the boss swung his sword, he got stuck in the prone position and stayed in the position, we went from almost dying to beating him with zero effort. We were driving around the city as well and my friends car on my computer was shown spinning in the air as it was moving, and my friend was actually on the other side of town. The car eventually glitched halfway through a fence and just kept rotating in the air indefinitely.

I once had Dark Souls glitch out on me where none of the enemies would aggro. I wandered from Firelink Shrine all the way through to the end of Undead Burg and all the enemies would just stand around. Interestingly the hollow soldier who knocks a door open to attack you in the Burg still bashed the door open but then just stood there staring at me. As I recall the game crashed when I entered the Taurus Demon fight.

Backpack Reload, Melee Grenade in Halo 1.
BXR, BXB, Doubleshot, YY Flag throwing and pushing etc. in Halo 2.

Good thing the MCC contains those. Button glitches really enhanced the Halo 1 and especially 2 multiplayer experience for competitive players. Bungie called this cheating, but never managed to get them out of the game. Only one example of this company making great MP by accident and not understanding their own game.

Driving on nothing towards the setting sun in The Simpsons: Hit & Run...

Just don't get out of your vehicle... and/or kick that one NPC that somehow followed you...

I also remember glitching that one spider chase in Jak II... Good thing I caught it on camera, since it was LPing that game at the time...

Wow, I had no idea Halo 1 had so many busted glitches (though I always thought it was pretty messed up that in CTF on Battle Creek you could jump out the window of one base but not the other). I'm glad none of my friends knew about these, and I'm glad stuff like this gets patched nowadays.

In X3 if you turn your SETA on 1000 you get to see other ships colliding into each other and other stations.

Most recent one was probably in Dark Souls II. In one level, there are these Viking dudes that hang off the edge of a wooden platform, waiting to climb up and surprise you if you walk past. Well, knowing that, with a bow you can actually shoot them off the ledge, causing them to drop into the watery depths and die. But with a greatbow, the additional knockback effect of its arrows causes the enemy's corpse to ragdoll and bounce around underwater wildly, before shooting up to the ceiling and flying off to god-knows-where.

Frontier, Elite II... The planet of Cemiess (which may be spelt differently) in Imperial Space, where gold and gemstones were treated as toxic waste and they paid you to haul them away... Ahhhh, my Panther Clipper, how I miss thee. ^_^
