The Witcher 2 is basically just gorgeous in every single way. I mean -damn-. Not just in technical prowess but in the way it effortlessly conveys a world that feels lived in. Pretty much no other gamedoes that.

Yeah, unfortunate news that. Thankfully I had an xbox 360 and a PS3 in addition to my PC, so I wasn't too bothered by it, but I would have definitely liked to have gotten it for PC for the mods. Sadly that doesn't look like it's going to happen anymore, which is why I caved and got it for PS3. Totally worth it, brilliant game. Don't know if you should buy a console to play it though, unless you have some other console games you'd want along with it.Uber Evil said:STOP EEET! I probably would. I know I will want LBP or LBP2 and Saints Row: The Third. Fair enough, LBP is a lot of fun (just got it for free from Sony). You should also look into the Uncharted franchise if you want a PS3, the games are GORGEOUS and they're a lot of fun. I also highly recommend Demon's Souls, and The Last Guardian will probably be really good when it eventually comes out.Uber Evil said:I probably would. Metro 2033 has a great feel of being lived in, that it's been just far enough from the disaster for people to adapt and survive, but not far enough for people to forget what the world was like before. It's a shame there's an achievement related to listening to everyone in your home station, because otherwise it would feel like a great novelty. One person is talking about being asked out by a guy, whereas, just across the street, someone has woken up with nightmares.Serenegoose said:

Mass Effect 2 had some really cool effects, I thought. Especially with lighting, such as the beginning halls in Purgatory or the halls or on the ship where Tali's trial takes place in the Migrant Fleet.
Halo: Reach - If you look out into the distance on the last mission, you can see black skies and explosions - and even Human and Coventant military vehicles duke it. Cool to show that battle is raging all around you, even when you're not there.
And those sunsets in Red Dead Redemption...
