Best Level Ever?

The first level on Mario 64, gives a good sense of nostalgia looking back on the first open 3D world.

tranquility lane level in fallout 3 (i love the creative ways to kill that one lady and also i love using VATS to kill everyone on tranquility lane because it's just creepy watching the people get slottered by a clown).

 

[Nigh Invulnerable]

"Jim is now a blind cave salamander" from Earthworm Jim 2 just makes me laugh no matter what. Moonlight Sonata while swimming through a tunnel covered with villi? Pure funny. And then that random quiz thing at the end. It made zero sense.

Strike at Karkand, best level in Battlefield 2 hands down.

The final level, Wario's Castle I think it was called, in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (which was Wario's first appearance ever) for the GameBoy Color. I spent hours on that level, it was so difficult.

I used to love that level. I even completed it on the second time round when the place is harder, less dissolving skulls, the sliding floors are faster etc. It was brilliant.

Probably 'The Silent Cartographer' from Halo: Combat Evolved, because it has a good mix of different things that make it very fun. More importantly, it was the level on the demo, and as such it is engrained in my memory, carved in permenantly.

Brinstar in SSBM. It is the only one that is challenging in adventure mode.
