Having just read the forum on favourite X-Men, I wondered who is everyone's favourite Marvel character?

I have 3

1.) Silver Surfer - Please ignore the film!
2.) Wolverine - His constant bad mood makes him a bad ass!
3.) Spiderman - With great power, yadda yadda yadda!

I must admit, mine are mainstream characters, does anyone have an obscure one, or do you all love the main characters?

Personally, mine is Captain America. Sure, I don't follow the comics as much as I could/should, but I love playing as him in the Vs. Series games, so there.

Doctor Strange, he was such a badass. But they will never make a movie about him, no one knows about him.
They made an Electra movie. I'd say that she's pretty low down on the big hits list...

But yeah. Um... I'd like to see the Captain America story too.

The Hulk, he is awesome in his simplicity. You make him angry and he will destroy you. Also he almost has unlimited ability when it comes to his powers making him nearly unstopable.
I think that is the main reason why I dislike the Hulk. He's too powerful. And well, both films were shit. The second was slightly less shit, but they weren't anything on the X-Men films.

Um were you awake during X3? That wasnt spectacular, i agree though the first movie was rather shitty, not what comic book fans expected it to be. The second one was definitely what the first movie should have been like.
Well, each to their own, taht's what I say.

But I think we can all agree that James Howlett kicks arse!

1. Iron Man
2. Nova (Richard Rider)
3. Star-Lord

I'd put the entire cast of Guardians of the Galaxy as number 3, but I like Star-Lord the most out of the team.

Yes! Deadpool all the way!

reporter to Deadpool: 'Why do you wear your mask, Deadpool?'
Deadpool: 'Because hats look silly.'

someone makes a plot-relevant yet completely obvious statement; Deadpool: 'My common sense is tingling...'

Luke MOTHERFORKING Cage. You can't get much more awesome than Powerman. Not only can he beat up most people, he can do it while still being a good father and husband.

In the same vein, Jessica Jones, despite being Bendis' Mary Sue, is a pretty cool character on her own.

I also have a soft spot for Kate Bishop (Hawkeye II, of the Young Avengers), for having pretty much the only rape backstory ever to not feel like a huge cop out.

I've always been a big fan of Captain America, not just because he's a mortal among gods but because of what he stands for--an exemplar of a bygone era of truth and justice (that may never have existed, a la Utopia) who finds himself in a world that needs him more than ever and is even less willing to admit it. One of my favorite quotes from a comic was from an old Avengers (several universe reboots ago) where Hercules said "On Olympus we measure speed by Mercury, power by Zeus, and strength by Hercules...but we measure courage by Captain America."

Consider that the guy has, armed with a frisbee and super-soldier serum that boosts him to the limits of humanity, stood alongside (and against) gods in combat and prevailed, excelled, bought victory through determination and tactical brilliance. In the end, he was brought low the only way he could be--not in battle, but by a sniper's bullet. Only taken unaware could the ultimate warrior be brought low.
