The day before April Fool's day, a friend and I got one of my old sim cards and pretended to be this girl interested in our friend (he needed his head deflated a bit). So we trawled google for hours finding good pics, sent them, he sent back :3 and told him we loved him. He was gushing to us on our proper mobiles about 'Maeve'.. then we said 'Maeve' would meet him at the cinema, where my friend wore a wig and stood talking to me, back to the door. Had him fooled right up until he seen the beard. The pranked guy was PISSED.

One I did enjoy once was heating a coffee mug on an oven element for about 20 minutes. Then when the cricket team returned from practice, I threw the mug out the window. One of the guys dived to catch it and just stopped it from smashing on the ground. He was so happy he made the catch and raised it up above his head in triumph. Then he realised how hot it was, dropped it, and it smashed on the ground.

It's the only time I've ever planned something and had it turn out perfectly. The guy who caught it was my friend and he totally got the joke. No one got hurt expect the coffee mug.

Well I am a little embarrassed to say this, but this is true:

I picked my nose, put the booger on my brothers meal inconspicuously, and watched him eat it. He eventually found out, and almost killed me.

I'll go with the time I added 5 pounds to the bathroom scale in a girl's dorm. April fools?

We used to do a lot of extravagant pranks in high school but they were more inconvenient for the pranksters than the victims and kinda lame.

me and my friend once edited my other friends files on oblivion. basically what would happen is that he would open the game and it would come up with a picture of me and my partner in crime. once thats done the menu screen (which would normally have a rolling screen of the oblivion map and oblivion in big letters at the top) would display rick astley doing the o'so famous rick roll with rickroll music in the background. in game we changed the music sound files to:

combat=benny hill
caverns and dungeons= either sugar plum fairy or in the hall of the mountain king
towns= pretty woman or YMCA (village people)
environment and general outdoors= eye of the tiger, great escape or black betty

his face was priceless and surprisingly enough he decided to keep the benny hill stuff instead of the normal oblivion fight music
I never did get you back for that did I?

I would like to add to this story that this happened in a college boarding house, i am a 2nd year, and they were both 1st years. I found that they did this about 2 weeks after they actually editted it, and about 4 days before i left the house, not to see either of them again... so if i didnt have a sudden craving to play it i would have left, with noone to tell me how to put it back to the way it was...

Unscrewing the lid slightly before passing the salt to someone when I was about nine. Oh yeah, I'm just that original and badass.

I generally don't prank people unless it's really funny and I know it won't hurt or upset them majorly.
That's actually incredibly funny. I really want to do that now.

Get a brown sauce packet you find in restaurants sometimes. Fold it in half and place under a toilet seat now when your friend goes for a crap he can earn the nickname "Mr. Brown Pants".

I went to a supermarket with a group of friends getting random junk food before a gaming session and me and a friend snuck several random items into one guys basket He bought it, bagged it and when we got to his place he wondered where the hell did all the cat food come from.
It was a lame, immature and pointless but at the time it had us in fits of laughter.

A friend was typing up monthly performance reviews and went outside for a smoke. While he was gone, I went and inserted beauty tips, suggestions on how to work out to keep your beach buddy during summer, and the suggestion that fashionably late would be better than being to work on time.

Not only did he print those reviews, but all of his workers signed them, and they were submitted to HIS boss. Oh, fun days.

Went into the contacts on my friend''s phone and changed my name to the name of his crazy ex. I then proceeded to text him (as her) and creep him the hell out lol

Scratching/rubbing out the numbers on a guy's padlock to his locker.
Padlocking a guy's backpack to a desk near the end of class and leaving.
Not really a prank, but more done out of spite. Nuggeting a backpack, dumping his books in random garbage bins throughout the school and filling his bag with nesquick. Though it had hilarious results.
A senior prank was me and a couple guys went to several dollar stores and we bought an obscene amount of those little rubber bouncy balls and we went to the top of stairwell that went up 4 or 5 floors and just dumped them all over the edge. It sounded like gunfire and the stairwell turned into a death trap of rubber balls ricocheting all over the place.

I once send an email to a colleague from the mailserver to make it look like it came directly from one of our team leaders. It told that this team leader was disgusted by him picking his nose and that he had a meeting with the other TL's for a few hours to unanimously come to the conclusion that he shouldn't be doing that. ... I couldn't keep my face straight after watching that guy read his mail. But I told him afterwards.

My best friend used to use his mobile phone as an alarm clock, so i put a mousetrap on it after he went to sleep one night.

Next morning you heard "BEEP BEEP, SNAP!! %^&*%£$^*%^*'

Also i remember with the Defence forces, a guy came back one night before Curfew really really drunk and passed out on his bunk, so we used Duct tape and taped him to the bunk, when it came to revelry he couldn't get out of bed, the Corporal in charge screamed blue murder at him roaring at him to get up and trying to supress his smile the entire time.
