Best PS2 Games for me?

Hey guys,

Recently got brought a PS2 to go with my PS3 and have brought a small selection of games:

GTA Vice City
Gran Turismo 4
Resident Evil Code Veronica X

Now the type of games i'm into at the moment to give you a rough idea:

Oblivion - RPG Adventure type games
Grand Theft Auto - I love the GTA series
Assassins Creed - Love Adventure type games of this nature

What sort of games that are similar to those would you recommend?

Shadows of the Colossus - That is the PS2 game everyone needs to own...

Damn straight.

I also recommend you find San Andreas to go with Vice City.
Tons of fun.

Ratchet & Clank series. Most definetly. It's an "action-adventure" sort of deal - shooting, puzzles, and platforming rolled into one package. And it's awesome. Jak & Daxter is similar, plus they have some sandbox environments from Jak 2 onwards.

Burnout takedown was my favourite game for my ps2. Maybe you could try that cause its quite fun

Twisted Metal 2 (fine its PS1 but backwards compatibility rocks), Twisted Metal Black and Twisted Metal Head-On Extra Twisted Edition. Also fun (if you like the sport) is Rugby 08. If you and some friends enjoy random fun I'd also recommend Gauntlet: Dark Legacy. Finally I quite liked it (its an RPG), its Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2. Good Co-Op fun.

Edit: First three are car combat games which are a lot of fun. Gauntlet is weird. I can't explain it...youtube it to find a decent explanation of it. And Baldur's Gate is kind of hack'n'slash/RPG.

I would have to say Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2. Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite game series of all time and it would defiantly be a good purchase.

Re4 the ps2 port was pretty good actually, The God Father is decent...Uh can't think of any others at the moment

Yeah I bought that game thinking it would be epic, but when I played it for about and hour straight I didn't understand one thing and didnt even fight one boss. I ended up selling it, then about 3 months later I see IGN having it in the 10 games of all time -_-. FML.

Metal Gear Solid 3... it's a prequel so you can pay it even if you're new to the series.

I really recommend you get the Subsistence version if you can though it can be quite a bit more expensive.

Psychonauts. So adorable, and well composed. God of War I and II if you like the brawler. SoC, and even ICO. Katamari Damacy came highly recommended, but I couldn't get into it. Oh, and Okami gets a vote, for its eye stabbingly gorgeous style

Shadow of Rome

I bought Shadow of Rome off eBay earlier this week and got it in the mail a few days ago. Haven't played it too much but it's quite a lot of fun so far, combat is great and the stealth sections aren't too bad.

OT: Shadow of Rome, God of War 1 and God of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 (preferably MGS3:Subsistence), Ratchet and Clank series and Shadow of the Colossus.

Hell yeah! Now if only Ico wasn't impossible to find (or so damn expensive on ebay). Epic boss fights FTW.
