Street Fighter 2 Ken's homeground Music, Hitman (Ava Maria), Kane & Lynch dead men opening theme, Toejam and Earl (back on sega master system), command & conquer all the tracks, Kingpin (cypress hill music) and the no1 Fallout 3 'I don't want to set the world on Fire' probably more but just cant remember!

I found it for $10 at a Blockbusters, and I've seen it tons of times at various game stores for the same price. It's backwards compatible on the 360, and if you don't have one, just get it anyway and play it at someones house. That's what I did before I got my 360.
Nepal Monastery is one of my favorite songs from the entire HL Series.

"Train Wreck" the Locust Theme from Gears of War
"Cool Corporation" from Shinobi
Main Theme of Katamari Damacy
Main theme from Metal Gear Solid 1
"Sworn Through Swords" and "Shall Never Surrender" from Devil May Cry 4
and ANY song from Shadow of the Colossus, Castlevaina: SotN, Super Mario Bros. 3, all Legend of Zelda games, Vectorman, and Tetris.
i just went through 100 of my 4644 songs on my Ipod and that's what i heard. (90% or more is VG music)

But if i had to pick my favorite song from an old game it would be Mega man 3s intro.

I second this. Every time I play the first disc of Chrono Cross, I have to listen to the intro music before I load my game. Greatest. Theme. Ever.ForgottenPr0digy said:

I'd say the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, but especially the main theme, Zeal, Wind Scene, Robo's theme (rickrolling before rickrolling was cool), and Lavos theme.
Also Touhou does have an awesome soundtrack. No wonder the internet remixes it so much.

Id have to say The Monsters Within from Left 4 Dead,or more commonly known as the music you hear when all the survivors escape.

Though I'm not much of a console gamer the Castlevania music has always been awesome to me, for me symphony of light took it to a whole new level though.
