My 360 games collection is sorely lacking in a decent stealth game. Any suggestions? Currently im leaning towards Hitman, or maybe batman AA (i could imagine getting a lot of replay value out of the rooms...)

Batman isn't really that stealth oriented. Sorry to burst your bubble, but they frequently put you into mass fights against a horde of dudes that you can't all stealth. Although, you can play most of it stealthily. And its still good fun.

As for stealth games? Double Agent is good, especially after the first 3 levels, which are basically tutorials. Hitman's okay, I didn't like it personally. But there was not much broken about it as far as I noticed, either. Let's see...There's also Sneak King. Sneak King is awesome.

Both of those are excellent games (and kudos on the use of "stealth em up", ha ha), though Hitman is only as stealthy as you deign to make it, and Batman is only a stealth game when you're going up against enemies with guns (but man are those sections brilliant).

Formally requisitioning more jubblies. Fairly certain this relevant. To what, I couldn't say however.

Thief: Deadly Shadows. Only true stealth game series I know of. And yes, XBox360 compatible according to the XBox website.

However, modern game: Batman:AA was a lot of fun.

Can you choose to play assassin's creed 2 stealthily? (to those that have played it)

I was disappointed with the first one, because I was really looking for kind of hitman/thief experience.

Hrm... well yes and no, Marowit. There are a whole lot more options given to you to play AC2 stealthily. You can lure away guards or distract them with mercenary's, and there's several stealthier assasination techniques, like killing guards who come too close to hiding places, ledge kills, poisoning them and watching their wild death throes cut down their friends, and you can hide in any group of four people, instead of just monks.

That being said, it's nothing like thief, and a bit like hitman.

As for just straight up stealth games... with nothing else. Tenchu Z, it's kinda less interesting than it's previous incarnations, but the gameplay's the same as it ever was.

Well, Hitman and Batman are excellent stealth games and I can highly recommend them. Depending on your idea of stealth, you could also say the stealth_ish_ shooter Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising. It is a simulation type military game, and isn't so much a stealth game as much as it is a game that makes you be stealthy because one bullet will kill you. It is difficult, because of the high level of realism, but the stealth bits are very sneaky and cool.

Sounds like a much improvement over the previous game though. Thanks!

I remember this guy from a while back, he probably started it all =/

OT: Assassin's creed? There doesn't seem to be many stealth games for 360.

Forgot about Tenchu Z. Best stealth game for pure fun, if the AI is VERY stupid. Like, you turn a corner, then you're safe stupid.

Splinter Cell Double Agent and Batman Arkam Asylum are the two that come to mind although I have heard alot of positive things about Hitman: Blood Money. Doesn't matter though as all other stealth games will be forgotten with the release of Splinter Cell Conviction!!

Oh I almost forgot, forget Double Agent, Batman, and Hitman, just download Splinter Cell Chaos Theory from XBOX Originals, not only the best game of the series, but the best stealth game evar!

Until you land on the planet, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is good, plus you get butcher bay.

Yes, the gameplay is better than the previous installments but they managed to a make a crappy story into an even crappier, almost non-existent story.

I still recommend it, for the super-smooth gameplay.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is really the crown-jewel of the SC series. Tenchu series wasn't great, but if you like ninjas it can be cool.
