I admit to not ever watching the Wire, though I was told that would not like it by my roomate in my freshman year of college.

Maybe your roommate needs a fast paced show or has a problem with swearing. Either way the entirety of television critics is against him/her on this one.

Battlestar Galactica. Found it to be a fantastic and very rewarding journey and from a thematic POV it was proper, adult Sci Fi that you had to think about, pay attention to and follow.

No, no you do not, there is no arguing Firefly, it is awesome and beyond comparison. Just try and disagree public people, food will taste worse if you do.

Anyone else think it's weird how South Park started off being embarrassingly bad and slowly got better? For most shows, it's the other way around.

Anything except Doctor Who and Family guy as I hate them both equally.

I'd be tempted to say South park but they have had a couple of seasons which were total crap, perhaps Harry hill as he includes all of the rest of British TV and then rips into it.

I'm gonna hafta say say Lost... as not only I enjoyed it, but also a good percent of the human population enjoyed it too.

But my personal favourites were:
Rescue Me,
Entourage,
and Scrubs...

And here's a little clip from the little known Rescue Me:
Took me some time to find a scene with some of the shows great humour and more serious side.
BTW the guy in the hospital gown was the old chief and the old guy with glasses is the temperary chief.

Best show of the decade: The first season of House.

The rest kinda sucked.

Well, I would argue that our current year number stands for the number of years that have passed, and we are in the 2011th year.

Anyway, Firefly and Angel are pretty good.
Futurama also.
