Well, to be honest the Internet is just one big washing machine - the same things go round and around. No-one knows which hole the water came out of, it's just there.

That said, I do agree there's a good chance it did come from there. That place is a lot smarter than people at The Escapist give them credit for; 4chan seems to have become a substitution for 'a place not as good as here' to some people.
