Best Trailer for a Game!

I'm finally back peeps!

So what is your favourite trailer for a game so far? In my opinion, the best trailer a game can have is a launch trailer but earlier trailers like story trailers and cast introduction trailers are good too.

Here's my favourite:

I love this trailer for many reasons but the most significant would have to be the song playing in the background: Heart of Courage [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRLdhFVzqt4] by Two Steps From Hell. It was also used in the 2010 Promo Ad [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAJMF-gn8v8] for Australia's Got Talent if anyone cares.

Yeah, I think the Mass Effect 2 launch trailer wins. It's just epic. Period.

Fallout 3 did have a couple good ones though.

I second that. Best sequences, best soundtrack, blizzard trailers are just epic.

This one wins because it manages to be great without falsely advertising anything, everything shown happens within the game.


This ones amazing to watch, but they make the fighting seem a lot more stylish than it actually is which bugged me.

Spoiler: Gears of War Mad World Trailer:

Amazing song and visually incredible, shame the game wasn't like it (still liked the game though).


This one pissed me off the most because the video was brilliant, but the fighting/locations looked nothing like it. The game was still stuck in linear corridors.

It's like that ODST live action trailer. They made it look all dark and gritty, making the enemies look scary and giving the impression of fighting over-whelming odds, but in the actual game you are still a one man army capable of beating the 8 foot monkeys (Brutes) down with butt of your pistol.

I've seen too many to remember them all, but out of the last, say, 3 years this one's the best. Easily. The quality of the game is a matter for debate, but the trailer is just brilliant.
