I'm going to have to say.... RE4 getting your face melted off by the sewer lizard things. I know its not the most creative way, but there was something really cool about seeing Leon's bare skull as his body went limp. I might be alittle messed up like that. Runner-ups include Conkers bfd- drowning in the shit cave and the obvious Killer Instinct- Orchids finishing move (she flashes you making your eyes pop out and heart explode). On that note, I guess I'll count fatalities. What do ya got?

If its player charecter death: Jak and daxter. When you die, daxter would come over and say something witty about your deat. ex: " Cut cut cuuuut! THAT WAS TERRIBLE! alright take it from the top.....you okay?

charecter death: A tie between big boss in mgs4, and trish in infamous. Both verry tradgic

Any of the deaths from RE5. I would say RE4, but I'd much rather prefer seeing Chris Redfield getting decapitated than Leon.

Standing on a boat in GTA IV, shooting at choppers with an RPG. Hit one, it began to fall, and I had an "Oh Shiiiiiii-" moment then it hit the boat and blew me up.

I was so pissed off when he got killed.
Technically he wasn't betrayed, he was killed by the Russians due to Bannon abandoning him.

well i was kinda joking but in World in Conflict you play a young US Lieutenant caught up in WW3 which in this alternative time line is non nuclear set in 1989 during one of the missions you are to retake a french town that is the headquarters for the russian invasion force into france while you are taking the town Commandate (french colonel i think)is flanking around to ingauge the main russian force to stop them from countering you. Captian Bannon of the Brigade as you is supposed to be protecting the Comondate's flank but instead returns to the town to ingauge russian forces that where counter attacking you leaving the commandate exposed and the russians destroy his batttalion. so really its not that great of a death (this being an RTS and all you hear is over a radio is "Bannon WHere are you wvee are under attack! Bannon help! static").

damn why wont the spoiler command work?

well yeah true but it was still technicly bannons fault but i forgave bannon for saving my ass when the battle started.

Not really a character death, but killing the Hydra in God of War is strangely satisfying.
