Anticipating Skyrims release I've been watching trailers, developer diaries, etc. and beleive that Skyrim has one, if not the most, EPIC theme song ever in a video game.

The only song I know of that may be even more epic than this is a combination of Elder Scrolls themes from 3 to 5.

What's the best theme that you've ever heard?
Well, it's professionally done, and enough of a rarity to hear choirs doing the Latin syllables thing, which is alway welcome, but Duel of the Fates (from Phantom Menace) it ain't. This doesn't really sound any more epic than the soundtrack to Prince of Persia - the Two Thrones. Anything that really struck me about this song just really amounts to stylistic window dressing. A solid, memorable theme seems to be a thing of the past, for movies as well as video games. What ever happened to John Williams, Danny Elfman, James Horner, Michael Kamen? 8-bit video games had better melodies than most games today, and even the better current examples usually consist of solid background music ala Hans Zimmer, that doesn't get in the way of the story/gameplay but doesn't really do much to propel it either.
