I was waiting for someone to drop a Magic character. But why Jaya? Sure she's awesome and has badass quotes, but what about Urza .
Sure he's a bit stock, but sealing away the satanic god of a race of civilization destroying aliens by putting your eyes in a silver robots chest in order to power up a minotaurs axe and send down heavenly rainbows from the sky has to count for something.
I was trying to think of a more powerful Magic character (Nicol Bolas, actually) but I just find Jaya so amusing that whatever comes out of her mouth as pure one-liner gold...
There're a few... and I think Tezzeret was one, but there was a really old character (back before Invasion) whose name completely eludes me. Definitely blue though...
First of all, planeswalkers and wizards are not one and the same. Sure, some, maybe even most planeswalkers are wizards or can use magic, but there are plenty that are not wizards. Also, the diference between pre-mending and post-mending planeswalkers is huuuuuuuge. Before, they were almost gods, they had almost infinite power, they could create and destroy planets, or relocate entire continents to other worlds almost at will. Now, they are pathetic. Most are barely a bit more powerful than a regular wizard.
Oh, and the blue aligned planeswalker from before the invasion could be Teferi. Was he black (as in african, not black mana aligned) by any chance? If so, then it's Teferi for sure. There were a few others, but they are more obscure.
Also, @HeySeansOnline: Yawgmoth was not satanic. I mean, srsly, he couldn't have been, satan does not exist in the multiverse of Mtg. And the Phyrexians are not aliens, they are human (or were). At their origin they were the Thran, but they changed over time. And i still call bullshit on the death of Yawgmoth. I mean come on that was just so ridiculously forced! Plus, to me he was the single most interesting character in all of mtg, and one of the most interesting i have found in any fictional universe.
All that said, i have to +1 the guy that said Vecna. The guy was a mortal, and he became a god. And almost managed to destroy the universe/gods/make himself omnipotent. I admire that greatly.
PS: All hail the Father of Machines!
