You can't get more positive than three affirmatives. You can't get stupider than naming your band after a terminal disease.

Or the Latin name of a crab Then again, they probably intended it for the disease. Yeesh.

"Blackmore's Night" is a pun taken from the surnames of the lead singer and guitarist, Candice Night and Ritchie Blackmore. Married now, of course! I thought it was sweet more than clever.

I can't really think of any terrible ones at the top of my head. Although, personally anyway, I'm not particulary fussed on band names like "[name of lead] and the [general band name]", not sure why exactly.

Best: Talking Heads. Mainly because they just sound like the literal mental image conjured by the name.

Worst: All the Metal bands involving Death, Doom, Destruction, Blood, Gore, and Genitaliae.

No idea on the worst, because I have no idea what all the bands ever are named, but of the ones I have heard of, I have my idea of the best name:
The Mystical Knights of the Oingo Boingo. (Oingo Boingo's original name)

Best for me is The Arrogant Worms because it makes me think of Earthworm Jim.

The absolute worst band names that I have come across though would have to be Anal ****, Spermswamp, Cumgun, and pretty much every othwe grindcore band out there has absolutely horrid names.

Those are quite awful... thankfully, I've never heard of them.

Seriously, this shit is getting tiring now. Cut it out. Offensive grindcore band names aren't that bad, at least those can be mildly amusing for a few seconds. Any indie band who puts 'The' in front of a random noun and calls it a day are just pissing me off.

Although just because some bands have bad names doesn't mean they suck; after all, OLP is one of my favorite bands!
