With DLCs, more people buy your game.

More people buy your game, more money.

You have money to make another DLC which will make people buy the game.

And it goes on.

I do have to say that March 24th does not entirely fit that whole "early march" release date... but atleast it is coming out, and not being pushed back a month

I enjoy Fallout 3, but I'm the kind of person who liked being able to see what he bought/hold a hard copy in my hands in the event that something happens to the hard drive.

This looks great, but I'm going to hold out until they release a combination of Operation Anchorage, this, and Broken Steel, hopefully on hard copy/CD.
Your Xbox Live account holds the info on what you DLed... if anything happens you can always just reDL it.
I play it on a PC, not an Xbox. But I'm still the kind of person who likes to have a physical copy of what I buy. And I'm one of the people with whom the patch that the DLC requires causes it to lock up on occasion.

So either way I'm probably going to wait.

I envy you people.
Bethesda seem to dislike Sony, or Sony hasnt coughed up enough cash so my PS3 wont be seeing the expansions, unless they do release them in the future, which is unlikely.

Ahhh well, March 24 is close to the Red Alert 3 PS3 release, so I can console myself with some good old RTS.

This.
Do you know that you can just make a GFWL account, download the DLC, then copy the files over to the Fallout 3 directory, and then never be bothered by GFWL with stupid login etc. ever again?

CONSOLE yourself with an RTS on your CONSOLE.

Ha. Word play.

Lol, I wish I could say that was intentional.
It would give me the appearance of intelligence.

Easy now, Kiddo.

Can't wait for this. seems 2009 is the year of the DLC. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

you do relize that Bethesda and Valve are two completely different companies, right? i know you can buy Fallout 3 on steam, but it is not valves decision to change how much Bethesda charges for their DLC. I think i will stay on my high horse for a while.
Completely irrelevant. Your post implied that official DLC that's made by "people who know what they're doing" just doesn't exist and can't happen -not even for Valve games. Now off that horse.

And this:

which lead me to beleive that we were talking about not just bethesda and you were also not just talking about bethesda. and your response lead everyone to beleive that you didnt think anyone gave DLC away for free. maybe you should clarify your opinions before stating them. here. ill let you think about that for a little bit

Second downloadable expansion.. Hmm.. Did the first one fix the ending already? I hate to be disappointed in my first run trough, and from what I've heard, only disappointment would be waiting for me with the vanilla version.
