Who would name their child Dovahkiin? This is horrible, because i have a feeling that some1 is going to do this.
So you get few games and in exhange your child get bullied in a school for many, many years. WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS!!!!
Luckily the odds of the child being born exacly at the same date for the parents who are going to do this, is not likely.

I dont know, they've got a handy save ready to go:

"Hey honey, sorry for naming you something so stupid, here's every ZeniMax game that has ever and will ever exist to make it up to you. Please accept our apology."

Screw having a baby. All you need is a forged birth certificate. They're much easier - and cheaper too, I'd imagine - to come by than trying to have a real baby. Just offer the doctor who makes the certificate as many Fallout games as he wants.

I would totally do this. I just told my wife the promotion and she said sure. Although she's not currently pregnant so I don't think we'd make the deadline. :(

I feel sorry in advance for the kid that will inevitably get this name.

This seems like a fair bargain, but keep in mind that the winners of said prize will be too busy rearing a child to play video games for about 18 years.

Shit, I need a kid.

Seriously though, couldn't a parent just do this, and then change the baby's name once they have the prize?
Nuh-uh, Bethesda knows where you live and will send am elite team of assassins after you. Or mudcrabs. Probably mudcrabs.
I saw a bunch of mudcrabs the other day. I hate mudcrabs.

I think that's what Bethesda expect the lucky parents to do. As long as the contest conditions are fulfilled (ie: a Dovahkiin is born on 11/11/11) then they hand over the key.

Which is awesome.

All right, before you argue on the fairness of the contest you have to ask yourself if you, yourself, would do it.

Why does everyone assume he's going to get bullied by having that name? It's sure as hell better than, say Rupert(apologies to the Ruperts that may read this, but your name sucks). It's not as if the kids on the playground 10 years from now are going to play Skyrim, read through the lore and translate his name, only to make fun of it.
I don't see this name working for a girl though,so I guess even if it's born on the 11th,well,you get my point.

If I were to name my child "Dovahkiin", I could just shorten his name to "Dave" outside of the house. No need to worry about any ridicule from other people!

Now that I think about it, this could be an insidiously clever Long Term marketing plan: get hardcore gamers to reproduce, their offspring are likely to become gamers, who will then buy more Bethesda products...
Social engineering to create more gamers! I can get behind that. =)
I'll laugh if the kids grow up despising video games.

At least we know who's going to dominate the playground.

I srsly hope someone does this. :3
I've got a feeling the kid who gets named this will look like this when he does show and tell.

"Here"
More like this:

No. I wouldn't. I'd feel like a self-concieted ass if I did.

I just told my girlfriend about this. I swear this is true. First thing she said was:
"Baby, get me pregnant!" :)

Nerd girls are love.

Whats funny is that I may have gotten my fiancee pregnant on or around the time to have our kid born on 11.11.11... now's talking her into letting me name the baby Dovahkiin would be the only obstacle left lol
