Fable 2, i'm not even going to rant, cause ive done it time and time again. I spent good time for that crap.
That ending was crap,by the time you beat the game you look older than Lucien. Some of the side quests are more epic than that crappy ending.

I got Final Fantasy XII when it first came out since I've been a fan of the series since VII came out on the Playstation. I slogged my way through about half the game, slowly becoming more and more pissed off by the constant walks across long-ass deserts only to uncover a very little piece of plot that resulting in having to haul ass back to Rabanastre and do this all over again.

Needless to say I took a much needed break from the game, but soon my ever-infuriating gamer's integrity meant I went crawling back in an effort to actually finish. I made it to the final boss after having spent a painstaking amount of time training all 6 playable characters up to level 50 in order to unlock one of the shitty little character awards in the Sky Pirate's Den.

I got my ass whooped by the third form of the final boss, threw my controller across the room in sheer annoyance and gave up again.

About six months later a friend of mine asked for help getting through Raithwall's Tomb (having only recently acquired a copy of the game) and it resparked my interest enough for me to look up a decent Gambit exploitation on the internet.

One night with the console left on while I slept later and my favourite (and I use that term lightly) characters had reached level 60 and unlocked every available square on the license board. I flogged the gained loot, bought the best equipment and magicks I could get and set out to fight the big bad final boss again.

I knocked him about so much I was ashamed he'd managed to beat me the first time.

So there I was, relieved to have finally beaten this game and restored my gamer's integrity by doing so. I'd never given two-shits either way in regard to the plot but every FF in the series so far had always delivered a strong (if often long as hell!) ending.

Final Fantasy XII did not deliver on this.

I haven't replayed.

I don't intend to.

I want those wasted 60 hours of gameplay back.

Fallout 3, never expected the Wasteland Jesus to turn into a pile of smelly goo. I mean come on, at least make it more, you know, romantic, as in I slowly turn into a pile of smelly goo that evaporates as I recall all of my past actions.
Thank god they're fixing it in DLC, but yes, the ending felt anticlimactic and frustrating. You save humanity and ensure it's continued existence, but it's still so weak.
I'm surprised I had to scroll down this far to see Fallout 360 mentioned.
So I understand the DLC being exclusive (and from what I've seen so far, I'm not jealous) but why did they make the ending fix exclusive too. Everyone thought the ending was a crappy copout not just 360 owners.

What would you have wanted to happen in the ending anyway, seeing that the current one doesn't seem to match up?
There could have happened... Something... Anything!!!

Nothing happened, the bad guy died (killed himself if I recall correctly), you got a pat on the back and that was it![/quote]

The "bad guy" only kills himself if you persuade him to do so. That and you get a nice epic battle and the satisfaction of (albeit temporarily) saving the galaxy. Plus, if they had created an ending that was too final, it may not have been as easy to work things for the sequel... Couldn't have asked for much more to happen myself.

Also, if they would have made a game with a good story they wouldn't have needed to make a sequel.

Edit: So did I apparently...

Is that it fixed (the quotes that is)? Unlikely, but anyway I shall continue. In that case, I'm just glad they didn't write a good story, as you say, or otherwise we wouldn't have another Mass Effect game, which would be quite the tragedy.

Fallout 3... I mean seriously YOU HAVE TO do it instead of sending in the guy who is immune to radiation. Its total bullshit.
Or you could send in the whiney arrogant *****. Gnawed half my hand off at not being able to send in mr mutant too, but at least I got rid of that annoying woman.

Could mention lots of games, but keeping in mind you asked for hard difficult ones... Shadows of the Empire on the N64 (I was like 10 or something, gimme a break). Played through on medium only to get... "What happened to Dash Rendar? Did he make it out on time? Play through on HARD to find out..."

In your opinion it would be a tragedy, in mine it would not however.

Here, I fixed your quoting for you. Continue your conversation. Be sure to remove my part of the quoting before and after if you quote this.

I haven't finished Fallout 3 yet, but based on everything I've heard without spoiling things for myself, apparently I'm going to be very disappointed, especially since I can't continue once finished.

Speaking of, isn't the DLC supposed to change that?

Bah. You obviously just didn't understand it. The rocket symbolizes the failed aspirations of the Soviet Union. Did you not get the hint when it tallied up your score? The more points you had, the bigger the rocket. This implies that the points are actually representing money. Now you think to yourself, a Russian game that has a form of currency? The whole game is obviously a polemic on the failure of communism to provide us with a truly advanced society. After all, they couldn't even beat America to the moon (thus the irony of the rocket).

The latest Prince of Persia game.

I enjoyed the experience of it but then the ending pissed me off.

In the words of ZP: 'It completely destroyed the object of the game for the benefit of a character nobody liked'.

But the blocks symbolize Soviet citizens, who must try to fit into society (the other blocks)! IT'S TRUE!
