In many forms of media, if zombies are present, there will be an infected that wants to die as themselves. Some go to far lengths to keep themselves from turning.

So! If you were infected, would you want to die as a human or try to hold out for as long as possible? If you were bitten, how far would you go save yourself? (Cutting off a limb, attacking a military convoy that might be holding a cure, etc).

Of course, you probably couldn't tell how far you were willing to go unless you were actually in that situation, but no reason you can't think about it.

Well as you stated, I know what I think I would do but you really wouldn't know until you feel the Grim Reapers cold and bony hand on your shoulder...

I would not be willing to attack someone (or a group) for a potential cure. I would be willing to chop something off if I believed that it would save me.

If it was certain death and my choices are suicide or zombified, I would go for the blaze of glory (so I suppose "technically" suicide). Someone give me a metal baseball bat, an air horn, and point which direction you want the zombies to go. I will blast that blow horn and crack zombie skulls until one of us gives in...

But... Zed's dead, baby.

I'd might try and amputate any part that had been bitten, or just commit suicide. Frankly I'd probably off myself in the event of a zombie apocalypse anyway, so I'd go for the suicide.

If I had been bit or knew I was about to be torn to pieces by the Zombie Horde I would off myself. The idea of being a zombie is more terrifying than actually being one. Especially if it's the type of Infection that lets you be aware of what your doing, killing people, but you have no control over yourself. That would be pure hell.

I think I'm ready to hack off an arm or a leg, tops. Just to give it a shot. I've seen enough zombie movies to know how unlikely the odds are against me but fuck it, it's not like I've got something to loose anyway. If I know I'm turning for a fact, though, I'd rather take down as many zombies as I can before putting a bullet to the head myself. It's about as dignified a death as you can get, I think, once you've been bitten. No going about to hide the damn infection and getting everybody else killed.

Ehhh . Kill myself . Sometimes it's just time to give up . And in all honesty , getting a chunk of flesh bitten out of you , is one of those times .

Putting aside the fact that as a Catholic it is wrong to kill myself...I wouldn't anyway because I should continue for as long as humanly or inhumanly possible, fight the power.

I would go as far as attempted self amputation (although I'd pass out and die from pain and blood loss before I would succeed). If I could I'd try to get someone to amputate the affected limb for me, preferably with some other people to try and contain the blood loss.

If neither of those are an option (no sufficiently large and sharp objects or friends) I'd commit suicide.
Either the blaze of glory/distraction kind if I had a group or a quiet and simple bullet or hanging if I was alone.

I would do anything, attack a military convoy, amputate a limb, survival over anything else. If everything else fails, well I do keep a bullet on my desk for a reason.

Infected and sure to turn am I? Right lads, help me improvise an explosive vest. I'm going into the center of a horde and TAKING SOME WITH ME!

If that's not possible... Well, any tall buildings around?

Depends on who is around me. If there is someone I trust around, I'll cut the limb off, as I have someone around to ensure that I don't die from blood loss. Then I allow them to care my gun in case it doesn't work. If I am alone, then it is time to eat the barrel of my gun.

I'd grab the deadliest weapon I could find, and then do my damnedest to take a few with me. I can't get much more doomed, might as well go down with fire in my eyes and vengeance on my mind.

Surprising...

Welp, guess I'll say it then.

I'd stay alive as long as possible for someone like Clementine.

Provided I've been around the zombies long enough to know my type of infection is certain and/or can't be amputated quickly enough to stop from turning me. I don't know if I could willingly throw myself to the Zombies to save those not yet bitten or at least for a little while, but I free I'd at least be content with being a stranded and elevated distraction for as long as I can or maybe putting some bells on me or something while locked in some sort of cage so that I'll continue to distract other zombies even after I'm undead.

I'm totally going to hide the symptoms, not do anything about them so I can endanger other people at the worst possible time.

Seriously, though, being bitten shouldn't be a guarantee of infection, which shouldn't be a guarantee of death, which shouldn't be a guarantee of zombieness.

Having said that, in some ways that makes it worse, people will be hoping that this time it'd be ok, and not take proper steps because it won't be. Like people who spread disease by fleeing quarantine.

Try and cut out/off whatever was bitten.

Failing that, find a sword or two and charge screaming into the undead hordes.

Right on brother, when the dead rise we shall pray n'spray them away till every last Zack is sent back to hell.

I'm curious though, what about martyrdom? while becoming a martyr for your faith I wonder if their is clause in the catechism that allows for martyrdom in case of a plague. I think I read somewhere(on the web) that suicide is allowed with gods consent since all life belongs to him.

Faith aside I think permanent death would be preferable from becoming a soulless marionette.

If I was infected and with other people, I would want them to mercy killed me (aim for the head) as I don't want to end up eating/ killing those people with my bare hands or teeth. Also no hesistantion as I seen plenty of zombie films and game that hesistantion will only end up with me being fully turned by the time they are ready to killed me.

However if I was infected but I was by myself then I would try to isolate myself as much as possible to the point the infected me can't jump/ suprise anyone that foolishly open the door (maybe make a sign saying "There is a zombie on the other side of this door".

Also if I was infected but there are still some infected after me, I probably try to killed them as much as possible before I fully turned (I rather not get eaten/ killed just yet). Sure I will get turned eventually buy hey it took [insert number] zombie for the infected me to replace them!

I'd clean the wound, take anti-biotics and hope for the best. Maybe quarantine myself. I'd have little reason to just assume that it works like the movies and bite=zombie. No disease in the history of the world has been that infectious or had that high a casualty rate in its victims. The bubonic plague only killed one in three.

If it became clear that I wasn't going to pull through, then I'll probably do the honourable thing.
