Better graphics card *continued*

Hi before if you remember I asked on getting a new graphics card. However my father phoned up someone and he suggested that I get the Nvidia GTS 450. How much better would this be than the intel(R) 4 series express chipset family? I don't want my father to make a mistake so please, people in the escapist, help.

i take it by intel 4 series chipset you mean your computer has a G45 based motherboard?

if thats the case the difference will be like going straight to nuclear weaponry from a slingshot. that gfx card will not struggle in all new games

What's your budget? You could stretch a little further than a 450.
